You have a Lancer now? Does this mean the end of days is upon us?

I have a Lancer on PC and I have access to someone's second account on PS3.
I hate all of you, by the way.

You should never...ever...ever...ever...ever...EVER use a weapon with neither a piercing mod nor armour piercing/drill rounds!!!! Never, ever.
Unless its a weapon that relies on damage per shot rather than ROF for DPS (ex Saber, Paladin). Simple game mechanics.

The only guns I used on my jugg were the Saber, Spitfire, or Adas. Buuuut, I just did my first Gold with a Lancer 11, and did great. Followed everyone's advice: mag+hvb. This gun is OP, or maybe I've finally gotten better.
I agree, Lancer 11 is definitely overpowered.

I understand the Talon well. My point is that the Paladins powers are designed to weaken armour so it allows you to use HB +power amp and Disruptor v Geth without any real penalty v that faction. Against any other enemy I would always equip AP on Talon
Kk didn't mean to imply anything, was just stating it for public awareness.
Np . The reason I singled out the Paladin as exceptional is that this snap freeze stacks with cryo sheild debuff weakening armour dramatically
Ah, ya know the cryo shield didn't even occur to me as I never go past 4 on fitness with him

imo boss dps is way more critical then long distance mook killing. Recoil can be a little tricky for small targets at long distances, but the recoil is fine in medium & close range. The bosses are big enough that recoil shouldn't be a problem, and its worth the extra damage to drop them faster.

I hear ya, though since bosses are large I usually find it 'optimal' to go without the stability dampner. However, it certainly wouldn't be a bad setup either to run extended mag + stability dampener with AP ammo. I actually love this gun on my Tsentinel specifically because his recoil reduction passive is so nice to have with it.

Bosses have armor, so I choose the Stability damper and the High velocity Barrel. OR wen I feel I need the Ammo I choose AP Ammo in stead of the HVB and take the extended mag.

Yeah, if you are running it without an ammo bonus then HVB is more important that extended mag IMO. I just don't like the default clip size so I always find a way to fit extended mag on mine

I thought it was confirmed that the cryo shield debuff didn't actually do anything. And even if it did, it can be pretty difficult to use the cryo shield on the things you really need to debuff (esp. Praetorians).rlucht wrote...

Anyway, the point is correct - you don't need armor piercing if you have an armor weakening power (Snap Freeze, Warp, Cryo Blast) plus an armor weakening ammo (Warp or Cryo ammo).

Magazine upgrade + Stability mod ( yes , it does make a big difference because you can hit targets from distance ). The more bullets that land on target, the more EFFECTIVE damage you deal.Your score will improve drastically with the stability mod, in my opinion it is essential for this weapon.
You can put heavy barrel instead of stability mod on the Turians and Juggernaut and use instead a Barage Upgrade or Weapon Stability mod on your gear.
As for ammo types , my favorite is Armour Piercing Rounds 4 when playing Platinum, they do more effective damage than Warp Rounds 4 because the enemies have a lot more armour mittigation. On the other difficulties you can use Warp Rounds, Incendiary, Drill, Explosive.
I don't recommend Cryo , Disruptor and Phasic rounds because you don't do a lot of damage.
Have fun !

I find that the AP mod doesn't work very well on the Lancer even when I tried it with the Destroyer. You definitely need AP ammo or Drill rounds otherwise you do no damage to armored enemies.
Were you using warp or incendiary ammo as well? Was it the HVB or the old piercing mod?
Pretty sure HVB + warp or incendiary are the best combos on armor...
