So the Hammerhead (Hover-Mako) is going to be (free) DLC only?

Oh yeah? Why should I suffer because some loser steals the game? Why make the people that actually pay for it (like me) suffer huh? When I shell out $65 for a game I expect it to come with all the bells and whistles needed to play it to full enjoyment, not go "Oh I need to go download a vehicle for this".

Tough ****ing Banana's, life isn't fair.

cry more, games are a business and with piracy new avenues need to be explored.

No one is forcing you to buy the DLC so you don't suffer.

If some guy appears on the Normandy and tries to sell me the Hammerhead i'm throwing this game out the window

Rhetorical question here: Can you not read? Or do you just choose not to read?

The first two DLC are free, F-R-E-E, when you purchase a new copy of the game. How is this so hard for people to understand? :(

The vehicle can't play an important role in the main story when it is (free) DLC only. I'm wondering if it will only be useable in DLC content.

Yeah well, I guess I can quote you, Crawling_Chaos, when I tell BioWare why I decided not to buy their game at all.

Where would we even be able to drive? The non-drivable shuttle thing in mass effect 2 takes us right to points of interest, so, where exactly are we gonna get to use this thing?

yet one would think a vehicle is an integral part of the game; imagine getting Mako as an later on $ DLC in ME 1;
Vermire would be fun

It is free? Well then, that's ok.

But my complaint still has some merit, for people like me with slow internet (crappy wireless and a usage limit) it's not fair for me to have to download stuff I need (I am a completionist)

A very, very strange decision...

You don't have to shell out a ****ing dime if you buy a new copy of the game.  THIS IS THE SAME SITUATION AS DA:O.

Quit getting your goddamn panties in a bunch.

Someone's been in the DA:O forums for WAY too long. Where's the hostility coming from, yo?

People who buy it used or pirate a copy will miss out...

lol no they won't.

Then don't, I'll have fun playing their great games while you can go cry in a corner about being "forced" to download DLC or whatever other nonsense.

You would have known this if you chose to actually read the OP instead of frothing at the mouth because more DLC was on the way.

QFT

It would be the first day that the game goes online, AND I'll be at the midnight release so I'll be halfway through the game before most of you wake up.

What if their DLC system ****s up and I'm SOL?

Or what if they're lazy about it (the old forums are still up, which should've gone down YESTERDAY) and I have to wait til the 27th or 28th to get this thing I need?

those buying things legitimately suffering because others steal is nothing new at all, prices are regularly inflated to make up for other people stealing an item, however, this version of suffering, oh no, you have to wait for a few minutes to download something free, is much more favorable to pretty much every other system out there

Pirates might not miss out, they might find a crack for the DLC, sure. They'll continue to ruin the computer gaming industry.  Used buyers will definitely miss out on the FREE dlc, they'll have to buy it.

I'd like to know where it was said that this DLC will be totally free. Is it gonna be just a default 'instant download' hardwired into the disc? Will you get an extra code inside? I'd like a link please. (That's a serious request)

Then you'll just have to deal with playing the vanilla package which is not lacking in content just because the DLC exists (all reviewer copies were vanilla, no DLC).
