I'm confident to take any kit into Gold/Plat.
Although if I were to list my best characters, then I'd say Drell Adept, Human Soldier, N7 Paladin, Drell Vanguard, or any Infiltrator.
Which kit are you confident of taking into Unknown/Unknown on Gold and above?

My three go to kits for gold are human soldier, human engineer and turian sentinel. Those are also the kits with which I transitioned from silver to gold.

If the host is decent, then the Valkryie is awesome against all factions.
Then all the Geth kits can shine against all factions .. I find the GE is underrated by many. I use mine with the CSMG and incendiary ammo and go to town with FE`s (good thing there`s no Krogan faction)

Gold: Every kit
Platinum: Every kit (as long as I have a respec card). Im gradually respecing all my characters to be able to plat effectively (some of my builds are almost a year old...
). Got through the adepts and soldiers, and currently working through engineers (least favorite class
, and its taking some time to get them right)

When you set the enemy to Unkwown and Fortack is in the lobby it will always be Geth ...
... hence why I always set the enemy and happily take whatever kit I fancy at that moment.

Hmm, good question but my Female human Sentinel is my go to for anything.
Though my GE, Valkyrie, Turian Sent, FQE, N7 Demolisher, N7 Paladin & Female human Adept are my go to for gold and up.
And also my AIU for times I'm unsure...

All. I refuse to carry. If the others are idiots I leave the match. This is a co-op game, let's play together or not at all.
Then I guess you spend more time searching for lobbies than actually playing the game.
Aye.
But I mostly play with at least one buddy so this don't happen too often.

Most kits on gold, though I prefer biotics rather than brutish soldiers ("So uncivilized..").
On platinum, I'll usually played a tanked up asari justicar (claymore, cyclonic IV, warp ammo) just because she can beast and kill effectively. Either that or take the asari infiltrator, because I can always rely on DC to black plague enemies to death if I have to clutch.

If the lobby looks dodgy (i don't solo Gold waves too well) I take either:
TGI with Typhoon (or BW if I'm feelling lucky)
or
TSent and Typhoon if I'm trying to be less cheesy

Off-host, all of the kits except possibly the AF kits, AF off-host always feels about as useful as smashing my hand with a hammer but only half as fun.
On-host, all of the kits.
Which doesn't really matter since I play the no-dodge turians and the havoc most of the time anyway.

On gold I'll play any kit, though if I know ahead of time I'll have to carry multiple waves I'd prefer to play any Asari or TGI with a good load out. I expect to be able to finish waves on Gold with most kits, though as RedJohn and others have pointed out the duration of the match will be extended (& I guarantee I will be sloooowww to carry waves with a suboptimal kit/loadout).
I have limited Platinum experience and have only used 4 characters so far: Huntress, Valkyrie, Justicar or TGI, though I just completed a Platinum Solo with the TGI this morning:)

To be honest, host advantage (or lack thereof) dictates what kits/weapons I use more so than map / faction / difficulty for me. But all things considered, I'll use just about anything on Gold if I want. Although I don't play much Platinum, I always just take the highest DPS kits I can. That's why I hate Platinum.

Asari Commando Adept
The greatest Adept in terms of synergy with all classes and possessing the most dynamic and powerful suite of abilities in their respective categories. Stasis and Throw are the best biotic crowd control powers, Warp and Stasis are the best biotic damage-taken debuff powers, and Warp and Throw are the most powerful overall biotic combination with the least amount of limitations.
Each of these powers in turn allows her to synergize perfectly with any team regardless of whether they are reliant on biotic, tech, or combat training. Warp and Throw detonate tech combos while simultaneously allowing a biotic explosion to occur within the team's collective cooldown cycle, Stasis and Warp enhance the effectiveness of combat classes, and all three of her powers dramatically enhance the strength of any biotic team.
While I adore all of the Adepts though none of them have her adaptability and strength accross the board. The N-7 Fury, Krogan Shaman, and Human Adepts are all too dependent upon range; the Drell and Batarian are too dependend on grenades; the Awakened Collector is too much of a weapons platform; the Volus and Justicar are too dependent on teamwork.
While I easily could enter an U/U/G game with a variety of other kits or classes, but given the option I would prefer to play my favorite character rather than one that is overpowered or has less dynamic options.
In terms of build, I experiment extensively with a variety of power evolutions and equipment loadouts, however this is my most current and recognizably traditional build for her
Powers:
Stasis 6 [Duration / Bonus Power / Bubble]
Warp 6 [Detonate / Expose / Pierce]
Throw 6 [Radius / Detonate / Force & Damage]
Asari Commando 4 [Damage & Capacity]
Fitness 4 [Durability]
Weapons:
M-358 Talon X [Heavy Barrel V, Ultralight Materials V]
N-7 Hurricane IX [Heat Sink V, Ultralight Materials V]
Equipment:
Adrenaline Mod/Shield Power Cells depending on host, or Cyclonic Mod (Platinum)
Pistol Rail Amp
Warp Rounds/Phasic Rounds
Geth Scanner
