Is Geth on Giant easier? The reason to do it with Reapers is for kiting when Banshee appears. With Geth though....Rocket Troopers and Primes can snipe you across the map...

If you use a Krogan Vanguard then it is a lot easier with Geth for obvious reasons.

Maybe we should do some Gold duos too then? 

silentstep wanted me to do some with him for the Mavericks challenge but i said no, because most of the time i am playing around 12-1am after work and im v tired and im not going to be able to hold up doing 50% of the work (whereas 25-40% of the work for a  pug match is at least doable). But i suppose if im playing on a weekend afternoon it could be doable.

Hehe, you know I'm quite experienced when it comes to soloing right? That means even if it is supposed to be a 50/50 share of the work it will probably feel like 25/25 instead.

I started again recently to take players that are new to this game under my wings to help them improve. Did a lot of that in the past and most are surprised about how easy it can be to do a Gold duo even though you are still a Bronze or Silver player at most.

Congratulations, I've done Glacier solos that have been slower than that. Have a tip -

Acquire the coolest garden in your street by placing Rayban sunglasses on your garden gnomes and replacing their fishing rods with small toy shotguns.

I hate you OP. your first time solo gold and you get Escort, Escort and Pizza. Damn you RNG!!!! Sorry man I have been frustrated with objectives on solos lately. Nice gold solo now switch it to glacier once you get more familiar with those cheating geth scum and in no time you will be doing it in 20 minutes.

Wow, thanks everyone! To be honest, I was expecting to get some responses criticizing me for doing it in "easy mode". Nice to see that isn't the case. Gonna try for my next Gold Solo to be with the N7 Fury against either Cerberus or Reapers.


@dumdum2 ~ I can see how doing Gold duo's would help improve my skills while not being quite as challenging as soloing. I will have to take you up on that offer! Will send you a friend request.

@wngmv ~ I don't like playing against Geth, but they proved to to be quite easy with the Kroguard. Don't have to worry about being sync-killed. Just have to be careful not to get overrun or too confident. That will result in death quickly. I found Geth Bombers to be the biggest pain in the ass because the Kroguard isn't very agile.

I picked Giant because objectives are quite easy on that map. Also there are lots of places on that map where you can funnel the enemies while using RHA and soft cover. That makes the Primes and Rocket Troppers hardly any problem at all. Anytime I felt I was getting overrun I would run to the other side of the map.

@AizenSosuke1984 ~ haha, yeah I felt pretty lucky getting the objectives I did. Although the escorts proved a bit challenging. Both started at the far end of the map (where everything spawned) and had to be walked to the opposite end . Still much better than devices though.

I really envy your completion time, kroguard or no kroguard. Still great imo! :-)

Both of mine were twice as long (included a lot of kiting). Have no plans of soloing gold again anytime soon. :-)

Congratz! now do it the proper way.

I did the same for my first one successful solo after failing many times before. After that first one I found it easier. Though I have no real plans to do it again, ever!!!!
