Well, I just made a Femshep Engineer. Haven't tried either, so it'll keep the game fresh a bit. I'm going to miss not romancing Jack. I think I'll shoot for Thane (yeah, I like all the characters Bioware themselves doesn't care for).
Moar love for Fem Shep?

I have 4 Shepards, my Vanguard, Adept and Infiltrator are all FemSheps, and I just went with a Soldier Sheploo. Sadly, he died defeating the Collectors.

Nah, my Shep wouldn't listen to Coldplay. Arcade Fire all the way:DStreetMagic wrote...
It isn't simple though.. ME3 puts me in this mode by default. Male Shep has become some sensitive guy who listens to a lot of Coldplay. I don't know another way to put it. Renegade options at best is "stern military" dude. Like Garrus lent him the stick up his ass. It has no swagger at all.Steelcan wrote...
Simple solution for me:devil:StreetMagic wrote...
I just hate Meer's voice when he's trying to be kind. It's like he's trying to have whipered pillow talk with his wife. Makes me sick. Seriously.Steelcan wrote...
I don't care much for FemShep really, I have one trilogy playthrough with her, her voice just sounds off on all the lines I'm used to hearing.

Well back in ME I had 8 fem sheps and 1 male, then I did 3 Fshep and 1 male, and finally in 3 I had 2 Fsheps and 1 male
Obviously I enjoyed ME the most, I also liked ME3 but the ending and lack of decision conseqences makes me not want to make more of either shep and I really hated ME2 but made so many as I thought I would need the varied choices for 3 and I didn't.

I don't have a Femshep, it never made sense to me to play a different gender.
Just my 10 Kopeks.

I tried playing as Femshep, but I just felt too out of character doing so.

I play Femshep purely because I'll take any chance I get at having my gender reflected in a video game protagonist. It just so happens that she has the superior voice actor and renegade line delivery, so all the better.
I don't think Femshep needs "moar love", however. The reason she doesn't get as much attention on here is because this forum is male-dominated. She's vastly more popular in other parts of fandom.

I first played with Sheploo and he's got a special place in my heart. He's the one who accompanied my newbie self in the process of learning how to play, and in the path for the discovery of the galactic secrets.
After my run with Sheploo, I tried FemShep and it's different. Good, but different. With FemShep I can play on Insanity, which seemed like an impossible goal when I first started playing ME with Sheploo in Casual (ME1 Casual, ME2 Normal-Veteran, ME3 Normal-Hardcore).
I like both voice actors in my case; there are some things Hale is better at, and some others Meer is better at. One example I ran into the other day, the Shepard VI: Meer was much more fun. But there are other times when I thought Hale nailed it where Meer was kind of flat.

I don't like Mark Meer's voice. Jennifer Hale does a better job with the lines. But of course this is my personal preference.

I really need to do a manshep play through. The only thing that puts me off is every time I've heard manshep speak, it just sounded flat and uninteresting. But like esterula said I'm sure they've got their god and bad parts.

This is kind of why I burned through ME1 and avoided most sidequests when I did a playthrough with my broShep, and went full renegade. I don't particularly care much for the effect his voice has on the character, so I compensate by amusing myself with as much renegade shenanigans as the game permits.

If you go off sites like this female shep is the most used but Biowares stats show a completely different story.
