Pick a conversation option that they don't approve of and your wish will be granted.

Either way you fought all the time with your love interest in DA II, especially when you're a rival to them.

I can't think of a single relationship were this is true.trying_touch wrote...
It'd make sense if you did something wrong :-(

We've only got a very limited number of real romance conversations, I'd rather not have them be spent on arguments just because.
Though it might be a fitting conversation for one of the romances, if it led to something that was more meaningful.

:-( Maybe in bad/souring relationships... I've never had a spat with my hubby "just because"... actually I can't remember when we last fought.
Anyway, I do agree that conversations like this add depth, but if it's a finite amount of lines, then please spend most of it on funny/witty/sweet banter.

That being said I do think companions (including an LI) should confront the player character if the player does or says something contrary to their world views. If it is severe enough, that character should also leave the party. An Elf character for example shouldn't tolerate the PC cooperating with slavers planning to raid a Dalish village.

I like the romance aspect in the game, but it's just the brownie after dinner.

It depends on how random they are... If it's because of a game choice, then cool. I don't want an argument just because they woke up in a bad mood.
Although a sarcastic, "That time of the month?" reply would be kind of funny.

I'm all about conflict. It's the blind love and acceptance that I hate.
That's why I love the Citadel DLC.
"I remember going by that sushi place on my Pilgrimage and saying to myself: 'One day, when I have proven my worth to the galaxy, I will eat sushi at that place.' And then you broke their floor..."
"I'm fine by the way."
"Try not to destroy any more of my childhood dreams."
It was tongue-in-cheek, but it added some spice. Ash's doubt of Shep is much better in a romance too.

Something like this OP?
Seriously though, the more exclusive content we get with the Romanced character we chose,
be it Cassandra (Please BioWare,PLEASE) Cullen, Varic, Vivienne or who everelse, the better:police:
Maybe Without the Domestic stuff "Damit! I told you Yesterday to CLEAN THE ****ING PRIVY!!!"
You know, actual Romantic things, big & small stuff. But yeah, the more content the better.

Once in a while though was a severe understatement.
More like all the time. Til act 3 then he mellowed out.

It would also be nice to have the LI be more aware of the actions of the PC esp if she/he is flirting with other people.
Oh god they did it with kaitlyn in dao it was terrible it seems leliana have strange priorities sleeping with isabela ok , sleeping with hookers ok , sleeping with morrigan -3 approval , kissing kaitlyn - 10 approval and her. inconsistent dialogues "oh i m ok with playing peoples it is just game" next dialogue "stop playing with my feelings"
