It would be interesting if your boyfriend or girlfriend got crabby with you every once in a while.

Good idea or turrible idea? Discuss.

Pick a conversation option that they don't approve of and your wish will be granted.

I'm all about conflict. It's the blind love and acceptance that I hate.

It'd make sense if you did something wrong :-(

Either way you fought all the time with your love interest in DA II, especially when you're a rival to them.

I can't think of a single relationship were this is true.

We've only got a very limited number of real romance conversations, I'd rather not have them be spent on arguments just because.

Though it might be a fitting conversation for one of the romances, if it led to something that was more meaningful.

:-( Maybe in bad/souring relationships... I've never had a spat with my hubby "just because"... actually I can't remember when we last fought.

Anyway, I do agree that conversations like this add depth, but if it's a finite amount of lines, then please spend most of it on funny/witty/sweet banter.

I'm against this not because I think characters should blindy follow the protagonist, but rather because the game is not a date sim and romance conversations with a LI will be limited. There isn't going to be enough time or resources to give those relationships all the complexities of a real world one.

That being said I do think companions (including an LI) should confront the player character if the player does or says something contrary to their world views. If it is severe enough, that character should also leave the party. An Elf character for example shouldn't tolerate the PC cooperating with slavers planning to raid a Dalish village.

If companions confront the PC on his/her actions throughout the game, then that's enough for me.

I like the romance aspect in the game, but it's just the brownie after dinner.

No thanks, I don't want Gilmore Girls or The OC in my game. Relationship conflicts are only ever interesting if they are somehow directly related to the ongoing story, otherwise they should be kept away.

It depends on how random they are... If it's because of a game choice, then cool. I don't want an argument just because they woke up in a bad mood.

Although a sarcastic, "That time of the month?" reply would be kind of funny.

This is the kind of thing imagination and fan fiction resolves. Minor relationship arguments are right there with mealtimes, small talk, habits/daily routines, and the like. I don't want BioWare devoting resources to your companions discussing the weather, your protagonist making a grocery list, and the PC and his/her LI arguing over drank the last of the milk, whose turn it is to do laundry, and who gets to be on top.

That's why I love the Citadel DLC.

"I remember going by that sushi place on my Pilgrimage and saying to myself: 'One day, when I have proven my worth to the galaxy, I will eat sushi at that place.' And then you broke their floor..."
"I'm fine by the way."
"Try not to destroy any more of my childhood dreams."

It was tongue-in-cheek, but it added some spice. Ash's doubt of Shep is much better in a romance too.

"Sorry toots, but my Chest hair is who I am! Not even love Can make me shave it" "But Varric, Your just too Manly for me. We need a break, I'm sorry."
Something like this OP?

Seriously though, the more exclusive content we get with the Romanced character we chose,
be it Cassandra (Please BioWare,PLEASE) Cullen, Varic, Vivienne or who everelse, the better:police:
Maybe Without the Domestic stuff "Damit! I told you Yesterday to CLEAN THE ****ING PRIVY!!!"
You know, actual Romantic things, big & small stuff. But yeah, the more content the better.

I've always advocated for more interactions with the LI good and bad, It takes work for a relationship to be healthy. It would also be nice to have the LI be more aware of the actions of the PC esp if she/he is flirting with other people.

I think it's a good idea if you do something you're li dose not like, and they catch up with you at the camp site or whatever and ask you about ur choices and how they conflict with there beliefs

Fighting does...what for a relationship, exactly? This line of logic doesn't make sense to me.

If it was based on a decision you took, escalating danger, etc. Basically anything other than nagging you for the sake of more interaction. That just resembles dating sim too much...

Once in a while though was a severe understatement.

More like all the time. Til act 3 then he mellowed out.

Oh god they did it with kaitlyn in dao it was terrible it seems leliana have strange priorities sleeping with isabela ok , sleeping with hookers ok , sleeping with morrigan -3 approval , kissing kaitlyn - 10 approval and her. inconsistent dialogues "oh i m ok with playing peoples it is just game"  next dialogue "stop playing with my feelings" that same go for morrigan.Isabela was good in that direction she was type "i don't care" type and she acting as "i don't care" type so i hope they will do that more da 2 style than dao even if that was hilarious it is like hearing "oh killing is bad" and in next dialogue "lets kill everyone" from that character.
