Speaking of which, wondering the woods aimlessly had the fantastic result of
Lich:You will never defeat me!
4 turns later
Lich :ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff-dissolves into nothingness-
and
Marilith: something something fire snakes!
5 turns tops
Marilith: I'm dying, fire something snakes, screw yourself!

Wait ... you guys are saying videogames aren't real?
Damnit and all the time I told those countless interested women I was engaged in a serious relationship with Liara.
Well f*** ...
I paint myself blue and touch myself... it helps with the pain of hair-loss.
Omg I can't believe I just wrote that
We'll make a real BSNer out of you yet

Depends on which game I'm playing. Sometimes for fun, sometimes for story, sometimes for both, and sometimes (and I realize this sounds kind of lame), because it feels as if it is my duty to finish some games.
That's not lame at all. I feel that way about most things I start. Plus when you think about the money you spent on the game....

I like games as a form of interactive story. That form of storytelling has its own pros and cons, but its nonetheless enticing - I like a story that requires participation from the viewer, instead of just staring ahead at a video screen until it's done.

sometimes I want challenge (especially if strategy is involved) and the elation of finally succeeding
and then there's the unlocking\\collecting or exploration and the joy of discovery
other times I just want the fun/excitement of mayhem creation (and the police don't like it if I try that in the real world)
and then again I enjoy the immersion in a fantasy world and meeting the people there

Chance to be a heroine and change lives.
Chance to do things I can't do in real life.. Like be an elf. Shoot lightning from my fingertips etc.
Chance to go back in time or have free plastic surgery without having to live with the consequences.
Chance to hook up and do something I really enjoy with other people that enjoy it too

Or lying wide awake
There's demons in my head
And it's more than I can take
I think I'm on a roll
But I think it's kinda weak
Saying all I know is
I gotta get away from me
' gotta get away from me
gotta get away from meeeeeeeeeeee
