Yea i've started actually playing the PC vesrion of mass effect 3 but the controls are so.........ugh and i know you can change the keybinds but i can't seem to find any good ones, so i just switched back to default. Since there is alot of good players on the PC i thought i could ask for a Keybind that has a high rate of success.

Thanks
^_^

Control schemes all break down into familiarity and accessibility. Regardless of what scheme you use, you'll still have to learn it. It'll only feel "normal" once you've been using it for a while. Unless you're very familiar with a different set up from other games, there is very little reason to change the default key bindings. The exception being maybe lolreload-gel.

I use:

- Thumb Mouse Button 1 to reload
- Thumb Mouse Button 2 for melee

- R for using a health pack thingy (ops pack or whatever it's called)
- F for using the power slot 1
- Q for using the power slot 2
- E for using the power slot 3

What he said.

If you have a decent mouse with extra (thumb) buttons you might want to use those too.

Yeah, we can all post our setups but you've got to find what works best for you, with trial and improvement. And then you've got people who have split up the omni-button so have extra keys to take into account.

I'll post what I use for reference, just in case it helps.

Cobra - 2
Ops pack - 3
Clip pack - 4
Medigel - F, for easier reload cancelling

Omni-button - Spacebar AND Caps Lock. Reason because I can alternate between using the little finger and thumb for the different functions. Reduces strain on each.
Cover Turn - Left Shift. This key is damn useful to have around on occasion.
Melee - Forward thumb mouse button AND C. For light melee I usually hit C repeatedly, for heavy melee I hold the thumb button.
Reload - R of course.

As for powers, I rebind them for every character:
Q and E are the primary powers, for example reave and pull, cloak and shadow strike, and so on.
X and Back thumb mouse button is the supplementary power - usually grenades, pets, armour abilities. But it depends totally on the kit. I strongly recommend that whatever power keys you use, you rebind them for every kit in whatever way suits you best.

It's a very good set up, for example as an infiltrator it allows you to use F quickly for cloaking, and for example Q and E for proxy mine and energy drain respectively if you are a Salarian infiltrator.

All in all, it works great for all classes :)

I like powers, so:
Power 2: Mwheel up
Power 3: Mwheel down
Thumb button is for medigel cancel
and the other thumb button ahead is for when I use a flamer kit

(Or was that midddle mouse? Bioshock keybindings threw everything around)

Default is good for the most part. I just changed the melee to the middle mouse button and cover change to F. As for powers, it good to assign them to your mouse if possible. That way you don't have to take your fingers off of your movement keys.

I'd invest in a good gaming mouse if you plan on making the jump to PC gaming. I have the razer naga and it works quite well for games with multiple action keys. Games like ME3, skyrim and even BF3 benifit from the nagas 12 thumb buttons.

I use:

Standard WASD controls with powers on 1-3
E-medigel (for RC)
C-Oops packs (so I don't pull out my missile)
Thumb mouse button: thermal clip packs (keeps the right-hand exclusively for weapons)
Cobra stays on 5

This works pretty well for me. I used to have Use split from Storm/Cover and used my other thumb mouse button for Use which allowed pretty seemless pizza running, but I've uninstalled and reinstalled this game so many times I cbf with modding my coalesced again to get it (foolishly didn't save it as a backup).

WASD controls with powers on 1-3
4: Cobra Missile
5: Thermal Clip Pack
Q: Ops pack
E: Medigel (mainly for reload-cancel)

Occasionally, I'll pull out the Cobra when I want to use the Thermal Clip pack, other than that, it works just fine.

I use wasd to move around, R for reload, F for melee, my middle, right, and extra button on my mouse for powers. Then I use shift for aiming and space for actions and reviving. It's worked out well and done several gold matches flawlessly as I've started to pc game more and play lots of Mass Effect 3 MP these past few months.

It's hard for me in fps's or 3rd person shooters on pc to use the right mouse click to hold down aiming while trying to fire with left. Feels weird and I kept zooming in and out so use shift instead.
