.....people fail to realize a full grown snapping turtle can

1 reach some 200 pounds in weight
2 swim like a bloody freaking gator

snapping turtles are like mean angry shelled snapping amphibian dinosaurs

Bioware has got nothing on the all out animal slaughter that was Red Dead Redemption and Assassin's Creed 3.

i thought there was a thing in the codex in origins that said the wolves were more aggressive because of the blight? or something i dunno

that being said i hope we have less aggressive wolves in inquisition because i am a big dork for wolves and slaughtering them endlessly makes me a little sad. maybe just wolves that run away from you unless you get too close to their den?

wolf attacks do happen, but it's usually when they're either sick or someone's wandering far too close to their den and they're defending their home and pups.

How about a wolf buddy?

You save him as a cub, and he comes and helps you out every once and awhile by munching on a bad guy - like a really hungry canine Batman.... er, Wolfman.

Also, wolf attacks are really rare in part because wolves don't live anywhere except wilderness anymore. Doesn't India still have a problem with wolf attacks?

If wolves make people feel bad, I'm willing to pass on them. Just give me something to kill. I don't give a **** what it is. Just as long as there is something, and the games don't cater to every bleeding heart's request.

Leave the hippos alone. They did nothing to deserve this thread. Take your hateful wolves and be happy with them.

You know, it would be pretty neat if the animals in the game had a "threat level" or something. Say, when you're lower level, you're seen as easier prey and have to defend yourself from them... but the higher level you get, the less chance an animal predator will risk its own life to try and eat you.

Some variation of that exists a bit in Fallout New Vegas, where once I reached a high enough level, certain low-level predators (Golden Geckos and coyotes instantly spring to mind) didn't think I was worth the risk of attacking anymore. First noticed it when I sniped a coyote mother from a distance, thinking she'd attack me like all the other coyotes beforehand had... and then I reached her den and her mate and none of the other pups wanted to try and take me on, despite the fact I'd just murdered their mother/mate (this was also BEFORE I'd taken the "Animal Friend" perk). I honestly felt awful about that because, since I'd been attacked before at a lower level, I thought I was getting the drop on them. Turns out, I was no longer a threat and had just needlessly killed the den mother.

I actually reloaded the save because of that. Soft, bleeding heart, I know.

I find it creepier that I can collect and sell wolf pelts. Like, I've got a blight to stop but I'm gonna sit around and skin animals all day instead.

Admit it, you ran at a cliff and shot your horse in the head to watch poor John catapult and ragdoll to his death at least once. Or drove a carriage off said cliff.

Don't lie to me.

Yes, but this isn't a pre-industrialized society. This is a video game that uses wolves like they're some kind of monster.

a video game set in a pre-industrialized society

Aldo, you should read up on the "actual" meaning of monster and relate it to the wolves hunting abilities
