I should take a picture of my foot for you. I got bitten by a (scary
Australian) spider about a month ago and I still have scarring over
about 10cms.
No you should not.

Very rarely. They mostly avoid people.
Until they become acclimated to them.

i thought there was a thing in the codex in origins that said the wolves were more aggressive because of the blight? or something i dunno
that being said i hope we have less aggressive wolves in inquisition because i am a big dork for wolves and slaughtering them endlessly makes me a little sad. maybe just wolves that run away from you unless you get too close to their den?
wolf attacks do happen, but it's usually when they're either sick or someone's wandering far too close to their den and they're defending their home and pups.
You know, it would be pretty neat if the animals in the game had a "threat level" or something. Say, when you're lower level, you're seen as easier prey and have to defend yourself from them... but the higher level you get, the less chance an animal predator will risk its own life to try and eat you.
Some variation of that exists a bit in Fallout New Vegas, where once I reached a high enough level, certain low-level predators (Golden Geckos and coyotes instantly spring to mind) didn't think I was worth the risk of attacking anymore. First noticed it when I sniped a coyote mother from a distance, thinking she'd attack me like all the other coyotes beforehand had... and then I reached her den and her mate and none of the other pups wanted to try and take me on, despite the fact I'd just murdered their mother/mate (this was also BEFORE I'd taken the "Animal Friend" perk). I honestly felt awful about that because, since I'd been attacked before at a lower level, I thought I was getting the drop on them. Turns out, I was no longer a threat and had just needlessly killed the den mother.
I actually reloaded the save because of that. Soft, bleeding heart, I know.

I always miss the consequences of spider bites in RPGs. Like, you just drink the antipoison potion. Where's the slow slide into blood poisoning? I wanted Fenris to drink all those bottles of wine and show me the spider bite he got fighting my battles.

I believe it was a (relatively venomous) white tailed spider. It got infected, then I had an allergic reaction to the infection so I had purplish bruising over about 20cms of my ankle. It was awesome. (And a little scary.)

Ouch. White tails are notoriously aggressive. Whenever I find one in the house I capture it as quick as I can for a ride on the porcelain express.

Did you know earthbound, a 1994 snes game, had that. Of course it doesn't actually make sense since animals can't see your level bar.
Is that because of something specific to the nature of wolves that would translate between real and fictional settings, or because of relative scarcity and seperation from human environments?Angrywolves wrote...
There are a few videos , probably on youtube now of people being attacked by rabid animals such as bobcats , coyotes , and foxes.
Not aware of any with wolves though.
