Nope. Closest was two back to back which were the only two I actually bought in one sitting instead of just buying them as I got the credits.

Unless Respec Cards are now Ultra Rares like i've just heard in which case there was one, but I could've sworn it was in a common slot.


Respec cards are not URs (they are uncommons) but I don't believe I've ever gotten one from a 99k pack. They seem to drop fairly regularly from SPs though.


Whoops. Meant uncommon. Meant the one with the silver outline. Doesn't matter now, I guess.

I only used the one (dumb since I was promoting the class) and got the card two or three arsenal packs afterwords.

Mind you I of course know the exact calculations etc, but it is interesting to see the outside looking in.

I always figured there is some sort of confidentiality agreement about not discolsing that kind of information or that as professionals BioWare employees wouldn't be willing to disclose details about their work. Anyways, I'm glad you could find what we are doing interresting even though you already know how it really works. I just hope nothing we've come up with is wildly wrong.

I certainly understand putting real life before video game stuff. I'd like to get at least 10,000 data points for each pack and I don't think we'll be reaching that for a while so whenever you have data I'll certainly take it.

In serious, I totally get that it isn't your call and am not upset. 

However, I always felt it was weird how Bioware/EA didn't want to release any info about it. I for one would've been more likely to spend real money on microtransactions (of which I spent none under the current system) if I actually had the faintest idea what I was actually paying for...

I believe it, 'cause I'm a sucker, but most people won't. 

I'm already saving store $$ for MENext.

now that I have all common, uncommon and rare items, only the UR's remain. With that said I tried my own probability testing with time and money.

On Wednesday and Thursday I spent $20 on points and purchased 6 PSP's and 1 SP. On Wednesday's purchase I got 3 UR's in a row. On Thursday I got 2 UR's. Friday And Saturday I spent time to accumulate enough in-game creds so I could purchase 6 PSP's Both days I got the same amount of UR's in every other purchase (3 UR's Friday and 2 UR's Saturday.

In conclusion, I got 2-3 UR's per 6 PSP's I bought in bulk. After that, I'd play more games and repeat.

Happy to contribute.

Mkay, then it was Bioware's call. Still doesn't make it any less confusing of a decision in my book.

Hmm, I've got to guess that either:

A: pack drop rates change over time
or
B: pack have different drop rates depending on how you pay for them (credits vs real life money)

Those are the only two good reasons I can think of to keep it a secret anyway...

PS: This is simply an 'academic' curiosity to me at this point, as I maxed my manifest a while back. Just still find it interesting Image IPB

So if I'm reading this right you bought a total of 24 PSPs and got a total of 10 UR drops?

Can you tell us if the calculations/chances of an UR changed at any stage after premium specter packs were introduced?

Personally I'm convinced the chances went up by a significant amount at some stage. But then it might have be my delusion due to earning credits faster combined with genuine pseudo-randomness.

It's a pity they didn't have the same guy doing UR drop rates who did the 5th evo of Blade Armor. Instead of 1 UR per 20 packs, we could get 20 UR's per 1 pack.

that's right, but I redact this claim...I purchased 6 PSP's in bulk in the last couple of days and got nothing in return  (in UR's) so in other words, it may just be plain luck..........

I haven't been paying attention to what type of UR ammo I've been getting but the original effort to figure out PSP drop rates kept track and they found that all lvl IV consumables had about the same drop rate.

For me, I get Disruptor IV way more. That and I'm blessed with having like 8 Cyclonic IVs on hand most of the time somehow. I guess the UR gods are making up for not even giving me the Black Widow I yet.
