hope ur enjoying the game guys. One quick question, how big are the individual downloads? I am getting the collectors ed on friday, with all the pre-order businesses. Yes, we got em all in South Africa. Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly, which I amy not since I downloaded them at about 1 am, each one was about 15-25 mb.

Kickass! Won't go over my cap!

I want to make sure i have the correct cases in hand
Of all of the cases reporting issues:
are you 360 or pc?
are you redeeming your cerberus card on the social site, or in-game?
were you a collectors edition? did you also get a collectors edition card?

PC Collector's Edition
Redeemed cerberus network card on social site and it gave me a duplicate Collectors' weapon and armor.
When I try to redeem the cerberus network card in game, it said that it has already been used.

The gripe I have with this Cerberus network is that unlike all other DLC it wont let my 2nd Xbox live account (my sons/on same Xbox) access the information with out paying for it. All other DLC is usable after paying for it once. It makes no sense for this network/DLC to be on the same hard drive and access blocked from another account on the same system with out paying for it again

The Cerberus Network Code will come in each game. It offers as others have said, extra missions, armor and weapons. Yes they've done this because game makers are trying to cash in on the used game market. So bad news for those who buy it used. You'll have to pay an extra 15 dollars to get DLC. As for Microsoft not allowing you to download stuff without a Gold Membership, you knew this when you bought the 360. If you don' like it buy it for PC or buy a PS3. The money you pay goes for movies, videos, and all those cool little add ons we have all grown to love. Yes the PS3 has a lot of the same but it is better on the 360. One thing from the top of my head is you can stream movies rather then waiting the 1-3 hours to download it. And this is just the start, more will be added. So, quit whining like a little girl and say thank you (to MS). Bioware is just getting greedy. They have been looking for a way to get their hands on that extra money from used games and it looks like they've found it. But all their doing is screwing the people who buy them.

I bought ME2 used but will wait for additional DLC content to come out before I buy Cerberus Network. It doesn't seem like the original DLC content of CN is worth the $19 for 1500 points it will take to get it (you can't buy just 1200). I might be all the way through ME2 before the Hammerhead arrives and the like. BTW, the $45 price I paid used for ME2 plus $19 for the DLC if I bought it pretty much equals the new game price. I think $19 for the DLC is a pretty steep price to pay at this point for what you get BUT, if you are into replaying the game over time and future DLCs are free through Cerberus Network (like four or more good DLCs) then it would be a good deal.

Thanks.

What are you talking about?  You don't need Gold to buy DLC from M$ and the DLC for Cerberus Network costs $19 unless you have points saved up.  You can't buy the 1200 points needed.  You have to go out to 1500 points.  If you play through ME2 and get the value out of it you want to get before BioWare comes out with significant DLC being able to buy and play the game used is great.  I think paying almost $20 for Cerberus Network now when there is no other DLC out yet is way out of line.  I would want to see a whole lot more content available before I'd pay $19 for it.  Obviously the industry (BioWare) is still playing games to see how well DLC works one way or another with their games.  This DLC in ME2 is a very clever idea--might be a great compromise for everyone.

So, I have the Collectors edition on steam and I've redeemed all codes. Then, I saw new stuff had come up, went to the buy page thingie and bought the Cerberus network there. Shortly afterwards, I facepalmed at myself and realized that I probably already have the Cerberus Network, meaning I spent money for nothing at all.

So basically, I'm just wondering: Is the Cerberus Network you buy on the site something different or did I already have it when I redeemed all the codes from the collector's edition?

You got it when you registered those codes.

You should have gotten an Cerberus code from steam. If you bought it another Cerberus Code, don't enter it in twice. Save your second code and sell it to someone else.

FFFFFFFUUUUUUU-

Ah well, I'll just try and see if I can get a refund. Or at least the Bioware points.

Thanks anyway!

I hear a lot of gripe about the cerberus network, much of it comes from those who bought the game used. Yes more content will come out and plenty of cool things will be on the way. If you didn't think highly enough of the game to buy it new, (if you are like most gamers and broke), you really shouldn't complain about the price to get the network. Lets face it, unless you plan on keeping the game the cerberus network isn't for you and is really a waste of a download code. If you're like me and clinging to your ME games like they were the most valuable thing in the universe then by all means get the net work. Content is always slow when the game first comes out so cut them some slack and stop pissing and moaning. If you got the game new, more power to you, if you got it used and you really want the cerberus network for all the extras, then bite the bullet, pay the fee, and play hard. As I see it the free cerberus network is a reward to loyal gamers who got the game new. Those who waited... well you can't have your cake and eat it too.

As for the issue with the xbox accounts and cerberus, part of the reason for this is too keep xbox live accounts in check and the other part is combine with the download content issue with any xbox live account on the same xbox, none of them allow DC to be shared across accounts on the same xbox. Maybe BioWare should sell the cerberus cards on the site too. Really the answers are there if you sit and think.

ME2 is a great game with plenty to keep ya busy.. Just wish there far more N7 missions hell bent on killing me.

Hah, been wondering if I was the only muppet that did this. Have to say the system is slightly misleading, I logged in to the game and it tells me new content is available. So I click ingame link, buy supposedly new DLC and it turns out to be exactly what I had before, so I  log in and it tells me new content is available, same blooming thing(i.e. download Cerberus Network). TBH it almost feels like a scam and some sort of prevention code should be put in to avoid misleading people.

Did you have any success getting your Bioware points redeemed?

Just bought the game (new) and noticed this Cerberus Network card. From what I understand once you redeem it you get access to DLC. The card mentions "Single Use Code", what exactly does that signify ?

If you should uninstall the game can you get the DLC if you re-install it afterwards ?

Thanks

It means you can only register the code on one EA account, i.e. if you resell the game the buyer won't be able to use your code.

I just downloaded the M-22 eviscerator, the Cerberus armor and the arc gun, but none of these showed up in-game. I've downloaded zaeed and the Normandy crash site without any problems. Can anyone offer help please?!
