It didn't take me too long to get to the "end game" of ME1, thanks for the help everyone.  But, I have one BIG problem.  The game appears to have locked up during the battle with "Saren 2.0".

"I" have access to every function within the game but with "Saren 2.0" lying in front of a rock, with me and my team having him dead to right, the only person that can take shots at him is me.  My team has not taken a shot and "Saren 2.0" has not defended himself.

It leaves me with no other option but to cold quit the game.  I sure do help that I do not have to battle "Saren 1.0" again.

I snagged a photo just in case I would have to visully explain it to someone.

Has this happen to anyone before?

Was he taking any damage?

I cannot recall if I have ever seen that glitch. But ME1 can be plenty glitchy...

You do not have to fight Saren 1.0 again. There is an autosave just before the final fight,

Yes, he took about 30% damage. I will assume that I will have to defeat him for a couple of reasons.

1 - to move on to ME2
2 - to visit other planets that I have not gone to or finished

Yes, you need to defeat robo-Saren. However, you can't continue playing ME1 after that, any and all quests will have to be completed before heading to Ilos.

Well now, that brings up a rather interesting issue.

This is now my second time fighting "robo-Saren/Saren 2.0", this time me and my team battled for about 10-15 minutes, all of a sudden, he is gone!!! Puff, nowhere to be found.  Yet the screen still says that he has about 50% life remaining. I can walk all around the romm, but I cannot exit the room as there is no exit.  As before, I can perform all of the other stuff... save game, etc.

Frustrating????? Yes, especially since I CANNOT go onto ME2 until I have defeated robo-Saren/Saren 2.0.

Should I start hating on EA again?  They have already screwed me on TW14.

I don't recall ever having heard about this bug, Of course, this doesn't make it any less annoying. You could take a look at the tech support.

There is no exit, because you are supposed to get straight into the end game cutscenes,

As before, I can perform all of the other stuff... save game, etc.

You shouldn't be able to save at all in combat.

Sorry Caradoc, my bad. You are correct, I cannot save. Also, I have contacted EA and got the usual, delete game files, they'll submit a ticket to the studio, blah, blah, blah.

Well, after deleting the game files for the third time, me and my team were able to defeat "robo-saren/saren 2.0":wizard:

I gotta tell you.  The end and all of its pomp kind of got me emoting a bit.....  I have grown rather attached to Liara also.

Good thing, then onwards to ME2. Note that its game mechanics differ quite a bit from ME1.

The Equipment screen is gone.
I am on my first mission - Freedom's Progress, and no map
The on-screen radar has to be manually activated

Hmmm, anything else I should know? Oh yeah, where is Liara??????

You should probably take your questions over to the ME2 spoilers forum. Suffice it to say ME2 is much improved over ME1.

Thanks Cap and Gown, but  actually, the forum description here is for questions pertaining to ME1 and ME2.  I will, however start a new thread so as not to piggy-back on this one, thus causing confusion.  I trust that you will continue to be as helpful, as I am ready to bail out of this sequel as I am not feeling it like I did ME1.
