because helping new players who are struggling is the right thing to do. Not rub your epeen in their face (not aimed towards you crimson)

You're new, you shouldn't be too hard on yourself. It took me months to reach a half decent level. I kept testing myself on platinum, failing a lot in the beginning. I climbed my way up. Eventually I peaked, now I am the second best Mass Effect player in the world. You don't become the number 2 top player in the world from nothing. The point I'm trying to make here is that it takes a long time. So people learn really quickly. I was a very slow learner and spent ages learning how to play the game and now I'm at the very top of my game, comfortable in the knowledge that I am the second best player in the world. Quite an accolade. The advice I would give to you is to stick with it man, be patient and give it time. Most other games, I find I can become good after just a few days of playing. Not the case with Mass Effect. It takes a long time.

Also, I doubt your claims are true, because N7 means nothing whatsoever

It's actually a super duper secret way of tracking how many times a player has actually pressed a button millions of times over.

OP: If you can share a link to your N7 HQ manifest, we can give you some tips on which kits and weapons to use. Many power-based kits don't need rare, high-level weapons to excel.

If you play a GT, it makes you a bad player. I'm assuming you must use him alot

use loleasy kits at first. then when you get used to playing gold you can use the bad kits. you will also have better weapons and mods
use tgi, aui, juggs, kroguard, fury, geth trooper,
also host. the game is so much easier
Thanks! I started going through the forums, and saw a lot of people with good advice, a lot of build guides, and a lot of people who look like their just showing off how fast they can solo 11 waves. Some of the threads are helpful, and others are simply demoralizing.lightswitch wrote...
I would tell you to read these forums, but there's not a lot of really useful new information being posted these days. You can check DragonRacers' stickied thread but even that is kind of a lot to dig through at this point.
Also just be aware it's going to be hard for you to top scoreboards with low level weapons and minimal consumables. Try to pay attention to where the enemies spawn and how yours' and your teammates' positions affect the enemy spawn positions.
Also go here and here and watch the videos if you really want to learn how to pwn. Pretty much everything about how to play this game has already been figured out.

Score is almost meaningless.
If you don't need reviving constantly, you help with objectives, and the team extracts, your doing just fine.
Some players are highly aggressive at playing the game, others aren't.
Thats one of the biggest factors in scoring.
To be honest, this is good to hear. I guess i've been reading a little too much into what the points mean. Now i won't be naive and use this as an excuse to say that i'm the best player in the games i go into, but i'll try to focus less on that and more on objectives and other more important gameplay aspects.MGW7 wrote...
Score is a measure of aggression, it doesn't really mean much,
People who fly off the handles and kill a large group of enemies but die horribly get more score than the person following scrapping their ass up off the floor, and how much score would the first person have without the second

OT - score isn't a very accurate measure or performance in this game. If
you use equipment or consumables when necessary, help with objectives
and don't die too often then you should consider yourself a good
teammate

OP -- I feel your pain; I often ask myself the same question (Why I s*ck so much). Worst is when I play with people from here who get double and triple my score! So, careful about adding all the above people -- sure they will help you extract quickly on gold and plat but at great cost to your self-esteem! Instead, perfect your characters in silver, take the ones you do best with to higher levels (all anonymously).
