Ive been at it for about 2 weeks now. It will be my first gold solo. I was using Armored COmpartments to nuke spawns on wave 5,8,9...but im thinking of switching back to survivor loadout and only missiling waves 8 and 9.

I chose glacier because i dont favor large maps and this goes for many games (with the exception of a few). After failing so much im kind of determined to do this on glacier and my mind is set on this map and character now. However, i do at times switch to the Fury but for the most part ide rather complete this with my GI Hurricane build.

Im sure if i used another kit or another map ide have a gold solo under my belt but like i said my mind is stuck on glacier. I want to make this map my b*****.

Anyways any tips? Heres my loadout below

Use AP Ammo IV and SMG High Caliber Barrel V.

Also if you are playing Reapers than Giant is a better map than Glacier. Since Reapers rush towards you, you can just camp the LZ on Giant and the time will be quick.

No need to missile 5... There's no serious threats on wave 5 Cerberus Gold... It's just Atlases, Nemesissies, Centurions and Engineers. They should all fall quickly and easily against your broken ass GI Hurrdurrcane onslaught.

If anything, take an anti-Phantom weapon like Scorpion or Acolyte as a sidearm.

Yeah... That was hilarious. Those guys are totally new around here and have no idea who we are and what we've done for the community.

I also agree with what was said about switching to the high caliber barrel and AP IV/AP III ammo... For simpler Atlas/Goon killing.

Just start the game and set the controller down. The GI will do the rest for you...

ADS that Hurricane, aim at the head. Consider the Talon or Piranha as well. I think you should use AP instead of drill since 1.5 meters is enough to get Banshee double hits, and the extra armor ignore is worth it vs. Brutes and such. Start waves in a consistent place, forcing the spawn into the basement is ideal but if you want to play a little safer, you can start at the intersection of the stairs and the hallway looking toward the lab, then retreat to the base of the stairs as you get overwhelmed. Double banshee waves are the worst, try to keep them together so you don't randomly get picked up.

I have a pretty good old solo in which I did this combo. Except, I was super scrubby back then and didn't ADS my hurricane.

I've been here for a decent amount of months. If you're community challenges are what you're talking about, then yes good on you SPECTRES (it was a good event), but calling people noobs because of kits they like isnt something I think is right (it isnt)

Wait Wait.  What have you guys done for the community?  I don't remember anything that stands out.

Doesn't really matter I guess.  I've been around here forever, and I've pretty much contributed nothing.

I'm semi-proud of that...:wizard:

If you're going to be playing against reapers I'd suggest taking rank 5 off fitness and putting the points into rank 6 of proximity mine for the extra damage.
That way you should be able to kill husks with a single cloaked prox mine which is easier and doesn't waste ammo.

Im actually facing reapers :? i run from banshees to try and save them for last and deplete the wave budget but they often lure me into unwanted areas. I struggle the most on double banshee waves tbh...also you must bow down to the GI's awesomeness or im going to have to

No... Thats not what I'm talking about. Way before that... Like WAY WAY WAY before that. I've been here since about 5 weeks after the game released. I don't really want to get into it in Q.A's thread, ans since we can't PM each other, you'll just have to take my word for it.

Lol... I caught that after the fact. When it comes to Reapers, just dont kill the banshees... Run away from them and kill easy enemies like Brutes, Ravagers, Marauders... Save the Banshees for last.

Lodestar backpacking for all 4 days, 8-12 hours a day, training noobs how to play... literally dozens of players (not exaggerating), working on vids with Cain back before we had our falling out, etc. Didn't want to toot my own horn but, with two people asking, I couldn't resist.

SPECTRE hosted the event. It has alot to do with it. And im not hating. Stop getting offended over nothing. How is that post stupid. I'm acknowledging good deeds I've seen you do, and stating that I still stand by my point though. If anything, youre the one putting stupid posts

Alright ill check it out :) and yes i struggle the most on double banshee waves i always get picked up by the 2nd banshee or get double warped by one then the other while dodging a brute or focusing on killing a ravager...i try saving them for last but running from them causes me to get lured into unwanted situations
