Who knows? Perhaps she'll be retconned into being alive and the Eluvian intact. It'd certainly be doing a favor to any Hawkes who did otherwise.BlueMagitek wrote...
Acting as if Merrill, who can be a bloody smear and her mirror shattered, is going to play an important role, is rather silly. ~_^
Edit:
It may have been from that series. I'm not the one who identified it.
So it was the events in Asunder that set off the Mage-Templar War.

Once again your hoping too much, just like how you want the Mage/Templar war to be the main plot
Everything is basically intertwined with the main plot, with everyone being busy with their own problem while there are tears everywhere with demons popping out

If the elf dream in act 2 is sent to the Imperium to Master his powers he becomes an apprentice to one but then again that is a very speical case.
Fernis is a half-elf, though, and and half-elfs look (and apparently are) entirely human. DA2 did weird things with trying to make his face look kind of elven, but he can easily hide that.
Feynriel you mean?
And indeed when Elves mate with Humans, Humans Are produced but that doesn't mean that boys blood isn't any less elven.
Any blood spell used on him once they put him in their circle there would reveal he had elf blood.
And that would likely become common knowledge overnight.
Politics dictate everything within the Imperium after all.
I Do love how you randomly pop up and attempt to impart insight.
That said, Power isn't want runs the Imperium, It is the focus but not the means.
The Imperium works as it does do to Politics, If it was all a power game then it would have collapsed but the Magisters share a common ground that allows them to unite; Why? Politics.
Obviously your grasp of english and proper spelling isn't the only thing suffering here.
Freind you obviously do not grasp how the Imperial senate works, Its about power yes given that is how far you rise within it is how strong a mage you are personally. But then you need to factor in the circle, the Archon, the Imperial military and Court.
You have dozens of political factions within the Imperium and they all must coexist and provide a working government and combat the Qunari as they have for centuries now.
If you had every mage attempting a coup because they thought they were powerful then the archon then as i said before it would have crumbled into dust.
No the real power EVERYWHERE, is money and influence, Magic is nice but it isn't what runs this world or Thedas.
And what are money and influence most contributive of? Politics.
So coin is the final arbiter, not magic.

Food for thought, how in the world did Audacity know that he could use Merrill's Eluvian to leave Sundermount's prison to possess her? Does that mean that demons and denizens of the Fade know what Eluvian's could do?
There was some codex that mentioned that demons often knew strange or forgotten schools of magic and would surprise and tempt mages with them. This could fall under that field.

Alistar is also a smear of blood in a dungeon somewhere.
Not necessarily, because I doubt Cailan or Alistar could match her wits if they accepted Emperorship~

Not that Viconia. Maybe more like an experienced Bastilla than Viconia, because Viconia knew what was up and Morrigan was Morriganing through it. Perhaps she is now like an initial Viconia.
