It's not that bad, OP. Don't let these guys tell you it is, but don't be fooled after running it in a Silver game, it ain't that great either.

I wouldn't use the Venom on plat, if this was true. You must be doing it wrong. 

Venom is SOO far removed from it's SP version... can do OK with it, but that doesn't cut it on Gold and beyond...

The SP version is way too op. 2 shots for a Possessed Crab on insanity at lvl V? It would be more lol than the PC Reegar. I really don't get it, I mean, the Venom is my go to weapon to carry the weakest and laggiest plat pugs. Well, maybe it's just me. :/

Pretty much. Well, I guess if you haven't unlocked many other guns then the Argus is ok. But once you've unlocked other guns (namely, saber and harrier) it becomes completely obsolete.

I recall Cyonan ran some test using a lolreegar with its base damage cut in half; and decided that it still was massively OP. I'm sure its slightly less effective at 30 instead of 60+ fps, but there isn't a weapon out there that can even come close to what the lolreegar can do. 

Base damage cut in half and Incendiary Rounds glitching fixed, and it was still overpowered as hell at ~60 FPS.

It's actually still sitting at 50% damage on my host, along with a lot of buffs or complete revamps to other weapons.

While the Argus isn't bad, it still wouldn't hold up against even my Reegar Carbine unless the Argus had my buffs as well(even then, the Reegar might still win), much less the un-nerfed one.

I really want to like the Argus. It's the fucking Big Iron firing three consecutive shots. But it's so underwhelming. One day I'll figure out a passable kit to use for it.

The only kit that can fix Argus is the Tsol. He has the Stability, Accuracy and ROF and those are the main weaknesses of Argus. 

On the heavier targets. using Marksman on the TSol with the Argus is most likely a DPS loss over just spamming Proximity Mine.

Since RoF doesn't reduce min refire time, Marksman doesn't get anywhere close to a 50% damage output boost. It's closer to 10%.

Well then, if Tsol can't, then NOBODY can. 

A Turian Soldier spamming Proxy Mine will still do solid damage with it.

However, the Human Soldier and Quarian Marksman will both produce greater numbers on paper at the cost of needing a Stability Mod in the second slot.
