Perhaps my next mage will go the arcane warrior route, but with my previous one, I wanted a pure mage, not one that wore armor and fought with swords, even if that meant that I was stuck wearing the mage robes. I was too busy kicking butt with my mage to really notice what he was wearing, and at least he took off his Libertarian's Cowl during dialogue. Instead of the Reaper's Vestments, I went with the Tevinter Mage's Robes (I think), due to the +5 to spellpower and mana regen.
Are there any nice mage robes?
