Not really sure which would have a deeper lore, but at the moment I prefer Star Trek to Star Wars by a fairly large margin.

Also, is it just me or does Patrick Stewart appear to be not capable of aging?

Sir Stewart is so Fab!

Stewart is awesome, and Picard > Kirk.

Although I'm pretty sure in 200 years he will still look the exact same as he did on TNG =P

Patrick Stewart is a perfect pick for any movie he has been in.

On topic, think that star wars made an amazing world build as that was desired for it, and executed very well. Star Trek was more about getting to other worlds and those could me written as they progressed.

So true <3 he is so perfect!

I don't have a preference for one over the other but, timeline-wise, Star Wars with the Extended universe and all.

I approve of this quote.

Hey when they do that teleport thing in star trek are they creating a new copy of them, like the hugh jackmans in the prestige?

That's pretty ****ed up

Star Trek wins easily in the quality category. Star Wars has been shamelessly ****d out since its inception. More thought has always gone into Star Trek iterations.

Star Trek changed scientific approaches in reality much like Jules Verne, Kenneth Robeson, and other authors inspired those going into research and development.

Star Wars made Muppets cool again....

I'd like you to consider how much lore is in both and then determine which has more :) I would love for you to expand upon the quality! Because really, the two are related! You'll watch more and learn more about the lore if ya like it!

Star Wars has a more extensive timeline, but Star Trek has time travel and other dimensions. Hard to say...I'll go with Star Wars.

Regarding mixing up the two, I came across this one guy who thought Star Trek: The Next Generation was "the one with the Ewoks". Lol.

(Ewok Husks and Han Solo as captain of the Enterprise. Make it happen!)

I'm going to go ahead and say star wars, I feel the large spans of space, even if lightly touched on, provide more content, and less convoluted content, than star trek does.

Plus to me it's much easier to understand and follow than the star dates are.

Doesn't Star Wars have an entire wikipedia for this kind of stuff?

Star Trek always felt much more an image of it's time than Star Wars. Star Trek has this thin layer of multicultural utopia and underneath the surface a proper fukton of cold war era world-as-we-see-it and Conservative Anglo ppl with Perfect All-American jawlines lording about. I guess this is a feat Sci-fi usually  has going.

..Granted it has been ages since I've seen Star Trek and I'm sure I've never seen single episode of the more recent re-re-re launches.

Star Wars is more timeless and washed more pure thanks to it's fantasy core and desire to re-tell some of the oldest stories popular culture knows.

Wars isn't set in our galaxy, allowing it to have a more fleshed out history, so even though I think Trek is higher quality.
Wars has deeper lore via non constraint from Earths history
