Warning: This game contains a serious potential for tears.

A few days ago I checked out TotalBiscuits WTF is... Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and decided to give it a try, and wow was I not dissapointed. In its short 2 1/2 hour length it managed to pull more emotions from me then almost every AAA game I have ever played and it blends story with game mechanics in a way I have never personally experienced before.

Its a single player co-op adventure in which you control 2 brothers at the same time using a dual analog controller (Works with keyboard as well but I would not recommend it). Each brother has a different set of attributes: The older brother is stronger, able to swim ect. The younger brother is able to reach places the older one is not able to. What makes this game unique in terms of gameplay is you almost always need to be using both brothers at the same time, rather then just take control of one and switch back and forth.

The story and world is incredibly well realized and emotionally packed, managing to tell an entire story using almost entirely no understandable dialogue yet you always know exactly what is going on and you always understand what your suppose to do.

Its a game worth playing without knowing anything about it, I know many people will initially want to know more about the game before purchasing or playing it but if you want to experience a game that shows how gaming can be an art medium in a way that a TV show, movie or book cannot then play this game spoiler free, it can be done in 1 sitting, you will not regret it.

Bought it a week or two ago and took a place in my top 5 adventure games favs all time, very rarely there are characters where you are actually care what happens so i agree here which happens pretty rarely.

I'm interested in getting this game. Not ready to dole out cash for it yet but it's definitely on a want list. Maybe Christmas.

Its pretty short with very little replay value so I can understand why some people would want to hold off on a purchase until it is on sale. But if you do ever plan on playing it avoid spoilers and remember to use a controller if possible.

Why use a controller? That could be a dealbreaker.

It does work with a keyboard, but it will diminish your experience. The game is built around using 2 analog sticks to control each brother at the same time, using a keyboard somewhat limits that mobility. Is it still worth playing on a keyboard? Sure, but if theres any way you can experience it with a controller that is the way to go.

Whats really frustrating with the Steam port is that it claims it has full controller support, but I spent nearly an hour trying to trick the game into recognizing my Saitek P990 Dual analog controller. It seems like it really only works with the keyboard and a 360 PC controller without having to download programs like X360ce (which even then only partially worked) which I found very annoying.
