Sorry to ask this here but the Technical Issues forum for ME1 is a barren wasteland at this point. I'm trying to play through the trilogy so I downloaded them off of Origin. I just finished ME1 and am trying to import my save to ME2. It tells me I need to use the configure utility to copy my ME1 save file into ME2.
Problem...
I opened up my ME1 folder, but the Save folder is nonexistant. My completed walkthrough save is in the game, I know it because I opened up the game again and started a New Game Plus, so it's there. But it's not showing in the ME1 folder at all. Even when I open the ME1 Configure Utility, there's no Save to the left of the window. I searched through the other folders, but still could not find the Save folder. I'm not sure if this is a Windows 8 problem or not.
Any advice?

You will find your save files from ME1 under - documents - bioware - mass effect - save
