When you play Mass Effect 2 and load up a file from Mass Effect one, will it tell you what decisions you made in that file? I've finished Mass Effect 1 several times and I honestly don't remember what decisions I made on each playthrough, will the file transfer be like:

File 1: Full Paragon, saved Rachni Queen, did X quest, killed of X team mate, etc.
Or will it just say File 1, File 2, etc.?

If it's the latter, then I should start another playthrough so I know what decisions I've made and whatnot, and then load up and do it  again for renegade/paragon.

It tells you your name, level, and the important decisions you made so you don't get the saves confused.

Yes, that has been confirmed. Also, near the beginning of the game, Miranda is going to ask you a series of questions concerning what you did in ME1. If you imported and pick the wrong answer, she'll tell you you're wrong. If you made a new game, this is your opportunity to tweak your background a bit.



I guess the whole discussion with miranda thingie can be what Casey (I think it was CH) meant when he said that when importing you'll get a summarization of what you did in Mass1.

The Miranda thing sounds pretty cool for carry over saves. Will remind you of exactly what choices you made.

The importing part won't be a prob because i only played it once...I know i'm probably in the minority. I also only did the main quest stuff. None of the side quests. I'm actually debating if i want to start a new one and actually do more of the stuff first. The other part though of what i did do with the questioning from Miranda will help me remember wtf i actually did do lol. It's been what feels like forever since i beat the game.

Ah, cool, I am actually more interested in hearing that you get to pick major decisions if you're creating a new character. I only have two final saves, neither of them malesheps, and while I have a maleshep very close to the ending, I actually want one without a romance so I can romance in ME2 guilt free. (Cannae cheat on Liara, that I cannae do.) But I wanted it with my preferred choices.

Absolutely, if you only did the main missions you missed out on a LOT of the game.

Will it tell you about some side quests? Such as Hade's Dogs and what you decided to do with the Geth intel after destroying the five bases in Geth Incursion?

I will pick up ME2 and make a new game and answer the questions so I can go back and play a new ME1 file then upload that, just to make sure of my decisions.
