Writers, please wildly exceed your authority and increase your word budget for companions

One thing that really bugs me in BioWare games is that you basically talk to companions in private conversations a few times and then there's little meaningful interaction for the rest of the game. Dragon Age II and Mass Effect 3 were good examples of this, I think.

It would be nice if the writers would just unilaterally decide to go over their word budget and gives us more conversations so it feels like we constantly have conversations with our characters over the course of the entire game. No more gaps where you have 5-10 hours of game play before the next conversation unlocks, please. It would be nice if your companions had at least two conversations per main quest line. One during the main quest and one after. That way companions feel like they're part of the adventure too instead of feeling like accessories to it.

No? Okay, how about asking nicely for a bigger word budget then! If anything deserves a little extra juice, it's companion conversations, in my opinion. Thanks! :D

It also increases the localization budget. Depending on the type of conversations, it may increase the animation budget (if CinDesign needs more animations) too.

It's a balancing act and hopefully we find a good balance.
