Hey all,

I am just about 18% into the game and have a questions.

I started by doing the Redcliffe line of quests.  I finished the fade, then finished my business in town before heading to camp.  From there, I started traveling to Denerim for supplies.  I am currently being ambushed by the rogue.

My question is this.  Can I go to Denerim to progress along the "Sacred Urn" questline and visit the vendors for supplies, then move back to camp?  I want to do the "Mage Circle" questline before finishing the "Urn" questline.  I want to get the healer from the Mage quest, but I desperately need supplies for healing potions at Denerim.

I hope my question is clear, any help is appreciated.

Thanks

There are only a couple of times in the game where you have to push forward instead of being free to wander. In every single case, you are warned by someone ahead of time. Things like "Once you go in, we are locking the door behind you"

Thanks for the info. I am really in need of a healer, so I want to go do the Mage questline. Does having a healer in the party make a big difference? I find myself running out of health potions often, which makes some fights very difficult.

You can always get Morriogan to take the Heal spell.....but yes, a Spirit Healer with "Group Heal" is a big help.

As for Health Potions, just make sure to collect as many Elfroots as possible[picking and from merchants], and make em.

Personally, I did my entire first playthrough without a healer and didn't realize I was missing anything. A lot of people will tell you that a healer is absolutely essential though.

If potions are your worry, don't forget that a certain sneaky witch-thief can -make- potions, and that unlimited quantities of the ingredients are available if you don't mind walking around a bit

As for the healer. When I have adequate health potions, I never have an issue. I have a tactics slot for each character set up to drink a potion when they get below 25% health. I just run into issues when I don't have enough potions.

I keep Morrigan in my party (Although she does not like me). I am early in the game and have not yet discovered a place that sells the herb needed for potions. I do pick them anytime I see them. This is why I am going to Denerim (sp?), as I read that I can buy unlimited supplies there.

Thanks again.
