Funny.
I had a similar experience with most atheists I ran across.

Just goes to show you that people are ultimatively people and act the same.

The difference is, an atheist might laugh at you because he dosen't respect your religion.
A religious person usually tries to force his religion on you in various ways, for example by making laws according to his religious beliefs that will prevent anyone to act in some way, etc.

There is no difference.
There are plenty of atheists that consider religion a blight on humantiy and would wipe it out with sword and fire if necessary.

That said, no doubt part of this is a human problem. Religion was invented by humans, for humans.
Religion just seems to take these things to the extreme. That's my opinion at least.

Religion is not the problem.
Those that study history in depth can see the true causes for various wars and events lie deeper.
If religion never existed, humanity wouldn't change. They'd just find other excuses (as they already have).

I hope he's possessed by a blood mage further confirming that magic is the root of all evil.

I mean, we can't have legitimate antagonists so might as well make them cartoonish.

I'm so confused right now..

You just made a completely anarchic statement, and yet you support the need for something like a circle system?

I'm pretty sure I could take this quote of yours ( implying that you agree with it ) and debunk a whole bunch of your other points made in other threads.

There's nothing to be confused about.
It's part of the human condition. Either you are convinced in something or you are not.
If you are, you will act on that conviction.
But too much and you become fanaticly devoted to an idea.

This of course doesn't mean there aren't beliefs that are true or false...but those usually lie in the relms of very subjective things.
The Circles exist to save lives. It is simple. And they do. They cause some lives to end, but IMHO, they save more. Hence why I support them.

What if we had a antagonist who tore the veil just because they want to see how far they can push thedas before it finally crumbles and breaks? Templar mage war, tensions in orlais, grey warden situation, all of it just to push them to the breaking point and watch the fireworks unfold.

Or an antagonist who views abominations as the greatest danger and believes Humanity would be destroyed by them so they tear the veil to release abominations to destroy and cause chaos to prove his point and unite the Human people behind him as their ruler.

Maybe we could just have an antagonist who tears the Veil/makes mass war simply because they like war and carnage? Like the Joker from Batman or the Major from Hellsing. Not this "I had a terrible childhood" or "evil brainwashing" excuse tropes we've been getting.

War And Civilization - Arnold Toynbee

A great book I suggest to everyone.

Damn this derailed hardcore.

Anyway I find the 'true' Anders is only available if you rival him, where it is revealed that he is little more than Justice's(vengeance's) mouthpiece, deeply regrets what he allowed happen with the destruction of the chantry, and knows making amends is impossible, with his final dialogue implying suicide in the hopes of at least freeing Justice (though since he will apparently be in DA:I this obviously didn't happen)

friendship Anders OTOH is just letting Justice take over him completely. I AM possessed! And I've never felt better!

Anders Justice is in DA:I???  :-0 are you sure?

ANOTHER retcon?!

I've killed this dude twice now. :bandit:

Damn you, Gaider.

You stabbed Anders in the back with a knife. In DA:A Justice possessed dead body. It would be nice if you could kill spirit so easy.

Religious and political arguments do not belong here. My wrath is upon this thread and it's being locked.
