I'm currently replaying ME3 and what I'm doing is to play the missions I don't care that much about in Narrative mode. There are like 3 enemies and they seem to be made out of bubbles and fluffy rainbows. It's funny :)

ME1: whichever planet-scans and sidequests I don't feel like doing. I typically skip the ones that I know have no repercussions in 2 or 3.

ME2: Samara recruitment (and, by extension, loyalty-mission), Hammerhead (not that I mind the vehicle).

ME3: Geth Consensus (I don't think it's the "geth propoganda" as so many other do, just very dull to play through), various fetch quests (I do a lot of planet-scanning, but I don't go out of my way to pick up things).

I had a Samara avoidance stage once, but I really need more females in my Citadel DLC portrait. It's a sausage fest.

I'm okay skipping the UNC or N7 missions when I don't feel like it, but I have to do everything else.

ME1: gathering the minerals and the salarian/turian/asari collectibles.

ME2: Firewalker. All of Firewalker.

ME3: if I could, I would skip the geth dreadnought. As it stands, I only skip some of the asset hunting "quests".

Man, the hammerhead is a great diversion. Could have used more actually.

Besides, you get an Act 1 Biotic upgrade anyways.

I take it the folk skipping the Geth consensus are not big on power use? I find it rather dull after the first two times, but I gotta have those upgrades.

I skip some of the ME1 missions, like the ones after Feros or Noveria.

ME2, sometimes I skip the mission where you get the crazy mechs and the sandstorm, it's just annoying.

ME3, I play most missions, but sometimes I skip the Communications Hub.

Maybe this doesn't count, but I skip the aftermath of Priority: Thessia. Just go right to Sancutary. I'm tired of being forced to be upset about it.

All of the N7 missions, the mission with Jacob, and all the meetups on the Citadel except for the person I'm romancing.

get jacob killed in ME2 and play the mission. I like it more without that douche

Trying that myself tonight, first time non-jacob import.

I always skipped Project Firewalker after my first run in 2010, but for some reason I did it the other night and I'm glad I did. Not because of the missions, which are dull but the payoff! I had forgotten you are rewarded with a mini Prothean Sphere for your cabin, and it makes a cool sound! So worth the 30-40 minutes of agony to get it.

I usually skip the Rachni mission as that is very tedious now. Been a long time since I played ME3 as I can't really remember what other missions there are...oh joy!

The biggest one for me is the end of Overlord, but that's only really meaningful to me when I do it as a playthrough to import into ME3 so I can meet David at Grissom. Now that I've gone through a "perfect" play where I got any and everything I could possibly get to move on with, I skip Firewalker in its entirety when I revisit the game. I do like that Prothean sphere, though it's kind of a shame that we can't keep it in ME3.

For that same play thru I mentioned with Firewalker, I did the SM last night. I hadn't done Overlord, Arrival or SB, just wanted to get him into ME3. Imported, started, alt-f4'd after the first autosave at 'A Bioware Production' and used gibbed to save david, blow up the relay and help Liara.

It is a shame that the Sphere and Shep's old helmet from the crash site don't carry over. I would have loved a line in ME3 where you could ask Anderson what the hell did you do with all my stuff? Who took apart my models and scattered them about the ship? I had my helmet and Sphere, where are they? And most of all, why are you stealing my ship Anderson? Admirals don't have frigates for flagships. You still bitter about being beached a couple of years ago?

Forget the models. Who in their right mind just puts a hamster loose in the engineering deck of a space ship?

When it comes to missions/assignments in Mass Effect I'm very much a completionist. Though I do find Overlord and the second part of Arrival to be a bit of a chore.

In my next playthrough though I'm going to skip a couple loyalty missions just to keep things interesting during and then after the suicide mission.

The two loyalty missions you can most easily skip are Jacob's and Jack's since they have no impact on ME3. I generally skip those two even when I plan on keeping them around for ME3.

After the first time through it, I've always skipped the Overlord DLC on ME2. Even though I paid for it, it's just terribly boring. It's so overly tedious and the music annoys me. The missions irritate me so much that I just don't have any pity at all for the guy at the end.
