I trust Morrigan more than any of the others, except for Wynne or Shale of course. All of the others kept secrets, all of the others but you into harms way, and all of the others use you in a similar fashion.

I'm not saying the others were paragons of truthfulness.

Morrigan keeps the knowledge that Grey Wardens die from making the blow from you. Obviously so she can drop it on you when you're vulnerable.

Morrigan doesn't tell you that Flemeth can be a High Dragon. I highly doubt she didn't know. She just wanted you to do her dirty work.

Morrigan doesn't really give you much information regarding anything, so there is not much trust that is built. I like her character, but can you honestly say that you TRUST her?

I love my Wardens but hell will open it's ass before I trust them with my life.

DA wouldn't be DA without the mysterious strange woman, though. Honestly, I can trust any companion that makes it to the endgame. Everybody loves the PC by then.

I just think she loves the sound of her voice, especially her laughter. I predict megaton laughing all day, all of the time.

Of course we can expand the controversy.
Shall we ?
Lets.
So if Flemeth seduced Maric and Morrigan is Allistair's half sister, as well as half sister to any other Maric children that may be out there undiscovered, and if Allistair did the DR with Allistair it was incest, and was this Flemeth 's plan all along yada yada for those of us who haven't read the books and comics .
Doesn't sound like Gaider to let incest creep into the storyline , at least not obviously .
Wonder if the possibility slipped through the cracks, like the Leliana retcon.
The problem with doing books and comics is you leave the door open for potential contradictions and unforseen consequences in your video games.

Her body possession is interesting...

We know that she can transform into a high dragon and that one needs to study the creature in order to transform into it.

We know that powerful dragons can communicate with people and teach them magic and based on legend, Flemeth spoke with spirits and then demons for help.

What if she somehow comunicated with a dragon and that dragon taught her eveything she knows or transfered its soul into Flemeth?

We know that archdemons can transfer its soul to a darkspawn. What if an old god or its relative did the same thing to Flemeth after a certain ritual

Flemeth's goal is to collect as many able bodies as possible for both possession and reproduction.

Everyone in Thedas is related to her. :D

At one point I foresee a choice between morrigan and flemeth. Where both of their goals become known to the player but they are not presented as black and white choices. You have to choose who you want to align yourself with but that means you need to dispose of the other or have them become your enemy.

Even though morrigan fears flemeth that doesn't necessarily mean that what morrigan hopes to gain isn't close to what flemeth also desires too.

It's great that I still can't predict what flemeth actually wants out of all this, or what morrigan actually really wants for that matter.

Maybe something like Change vs Status Quo?

Flemeth is already "immortal" so I don't know what she could gain from this. If she cares about Thedas, I suppose she won't allow the world to be destroyed?

An other thought : Flemeth has survived by placing a small part of herself in an amulet. What if her daughters (Morrigan, Yavana, ...) are actually also small parts of herself?

I'm only 50% kidding, but I'm pretty sure Flemeth's goal is just to troll Thedas.

I think she's either a rebel Tevinter magister or a former Tevinter slave (possibly an elf at birth).

I think that OGs are first children of the Maker and Dumat is Mr Gaider's analogue of Lucifer. Child of the Light, who was corrupted by some sort of primal evil, (perhaps the incarnation of all sins) which we will maybe see as "the Main Bad Guy" of DA universe some day.
I suppose that Flemeth is the purified Dumat.
-She was able to keep the darkspawn away from her house. It isn't common even for a super-powerful mage to affect darkspawn minds, is it?
-After reading her grimoire, Morrigan:
1) Got to know about the Dark Ritual. Wasn't Flemeth herself the first OG-containing child? +all her soul-parting stuff in DA2.
2) Said that Flemeth is very dangerous. If Morrigan classifies something as "dangerous" it usually IS dangerous.
-The artifact, aquired by making sacrifices to Dumat, (DLC Legacy) is called "Chain of the Penitent". In DA2 Flemeth says, that "she knows well about regrets".
-DA2 Flemeth's image is just filled with hidden power. Wise golden eyes, silent voice, thoughtfulness - all those things really fit "the Dragon of Silence".

Even though Morrigan fears her, I believe that Flemeth is a "good" character, who will try to rescue sleeping OGs from corruption and i really hope, that we won't have to kill her. (Sorry for my bad "englando")

I don't remember Morrigan telling me anything about Flemeth not being human. She told me Flemeth was an abomination.

Either way, I don't see the point. Alistair also lied to you about his father. That doesn't mean everything he says is a lie.

She says it in Witch Hunt. She says that Flemeth is not just a common blood mage, abomination, or even trully human.

Eh you hear something similar from Fenris. Morrigan could've been telling the truth about that and lying about the body snatching.

Let me leave you this to ponder upon:

Is Flemeth a dragon transforming into a human? or a human transforming into a dragon? ;)

If she is the the dragon which transforms into a human, isn't there a slight possibility that she could be an old God...

Ultimately? It doesn't matter what her goals are, it doesn't matter what she is and it doesn't matter what she can do.

The Warden killed her once, I hope the Inquistor is up for finishing the job.

History will be written by the hands of man, Not those who think themselves above it.

Even Gods die in dragon age.

Maybe she's an elf or Qunari who can transform into a human AND a dragon.

Elves? Something to be interbred into Humanity i believe personally.

That said my point remains those who look to Flemeth and see anything other then a foe are deluding themselves about the character.

Meh. If a "humain" (elf, dwarf, ...) is powerful enough to kill a "god", then doesn't (s)he become a "god" too?

Wasnt it stated that bones similar to the old gods?

Im guessing these old gods are actually the last of these ancient dragons. So its a possibility some of these ancient dragons still exist...though not as powerful as the old gods.

Also, wyverns are distantly related to dragons....so evolution is possible?
