is it possible to change my accounts email-address?
i am currently using an address by a freemail service, but as future dlc will be tied to
my account i want to change it into something more permanent.
if it is not possible to change the address for this account, can i just delete it and create a new one
with the same screen name? i have not used it much yet.

See the site FAQ in the bottom right corner for information about changing e-mail address. You can't delete the account and register again with the same username.

I'm having the same exact problem. After reading the FAQ, it tells you that you can do it from your Bioware account. However, I tried this already, and it doesn't change the email that you log into the game with. I actually even emailed support a few months ago, and haven't received a response to this day.

Actually, it says you can't update your e-mail address on this site. You need to change your master account's e-mail address, which is done on an EA site.

You change your email address by going to https://profile.ea.com/myinfo.do and changing the email address associated with the underlying EA Acount. Your current email and password here should work as the login information.

I understand that. We do need to use the email that is associated with Bioware Social to login into the game. What we want to do is switch that email address to another one, so that we can forget the old email and not have to remember it.

DVzomb, by going to the EA profile page I linked above, and logging in with your current email and password, you can then change the email associated with the underlying EA account (Select Update My Info), which will then change your email on this site and the one you use to log into the game with.

I'm just letting you know that I did change the email on the EA site, but it did not change for this site. I checked.

Logout, then login with username/password and see if that fixes it.

- Login to bad EA account with good e-mail address and change e-mail address to something else (see FAQ on changing e-mail address), then logout.
- Login to good EA account with bad e-mail address and change e-mail address to good e-mail address.
- Logout on this site, then login with good e-mail address.

Ok, I’m sorry but I must just be to stupid to get this to work right.
-My account here has a email address set up to an email account that I cant even access anymore my old BioWare forum one.
-My EA account is set up to my current email address as well as my gamer tag that I use. I created it this year to come to this site to post.
-My old BioWare forum account was updated to my current email address recently since its been years since I was last there. -Jade Empire was new.
Results are no change and no way I can figure this stupid crap out. Nothing I try works and as a result I’m sure my old email account has gotten a lot of messages that I would have liked to see.
The fact that we just cant change the email address here instead of jumping through hoops is just stupid and poor design.
-Sorry if I sound a bit pissed off at this, its because I am.

This thread is not going to help you much, you have two active EA accounts. Either you need to register anew with the new EA account or transfer entitlements and gamer tag (EA live support) to the old EA account, then go through the e-mail changing process.

I only had the one EA account.
I recently tried creating a new one but since my Gamer Tag is already listed on the one I cant remove it and add it to another one. So now I’m stuck with two worthless EA accounts and a outdated email address for this site. The way EA support is from what I’ve heard, I’d be better off talking to a wall.

It seems I also have two accounts. I don't suppose anyone would know if its possible to transfer a download, unused, form one account not linked to my xbox live account to one that is, the other account shouldn't exist. i think it just got made due to a big in my autoform software that used @googlemail instead of @gmail

I recently changed my EA email address. Since then whenever i try to play Origins it won't let me cause it says that my dlc packages are unathorised and that i will have to log in with a valid account or something like that. I tried to log out and then log in again. It worked but only for about 10 seconds. Changing my new email to my old seems to fix everything but i really need this new email for personal reasons. Can anyone help???
