I know OP used the Argus on a Destroyer, but what if you are new and only have the Human Soldier? Can you use the Argus on that character? Is such a thing even possible?

Once again I have to remind you guys because you're completely ignoring the fact that this is about the Argus itself, the spawns and enemy damage values are completely irrelevant. If Atlas's TTKs mattered to him on the Argus he wouldn't have brought the Piranha at all.

This thread is about soloing Gold with the Argus - that's the title.  And, yes those value's you mention are irrelavent to the performance of the Argus.  I agree.  But they are relevant to soloing Gold this being the second fastest Destroyer Gold solo according to Hendrix137's list.  I like Annomander's thinking and effort to show how well the gun can perform.  I'm not arguing the Argus is bad - Annomander's setup (Astartes Marine' setup) is excellent.  The gameplay is excellent.  The other noise is why this thread is approaching 20 pages - it's controversional and I feel a bad decision to incorporate it.

I did actually give an accounting of my experience with it.

I performed considerably better than I normally would in a Gold PuG, and not in ideal circumstances, just by stacking stabilization on the Argus.

Using a melee-spec'd character, on console, with auto-aim, and a fairly weak manifest, I actually did quite well with it. I didn't record it because I can't maintain connection to the servers on XBL, and it's a huge pain in the butt to record from PS3.

And it was a pretty amazing solo, I loved the way you handled the phantoms with effortless routine. Who cares whether the game is modded or not, that's not the point.

I'd love to play with you some time, although I'm nowhere near as good as you.

You are getting soft Anno. The biggest d*ckheads here are his friends, willing to **** over other people while backing up a liar. Personally I would never tolerate such behavior, unless they really thought that he wasn't lying but then an apology would be in place and I don't think it ever came to that.

Can't do anything with the damage, as it was balance changed, and all stats for guns / powers still get overwritten by the server side download if bioware balance changed them at any point.

Cyonan is your man if you want guns that have been buffed in interesting ways; he actually tries to "balance" his weapon buffs.

I buffed the typhoon back to its pre-nerf status, gave the spitfire a RoF of 1000 rpm and changed the assault rifle HVB so it granted +25% damage + piercing + penetration.

Are they balanced? Hell no, they're OP as all f*ck, but then again so my scions.

I was kidding of course.  Although I did playthrough my ME3 Insanity single player campaign with the Vindicator and Scimitar on my Vanguard - because they worked so well in ME2.  Oh well, we all make mistakes and learn from them.

I did see your post a couple weeks ago about the Typhoon and tried it - it's pretty mental, I like it.

At any rate - quality shooting with the Argus.

I thought it looked ridiculous when part of that group made annonmander out to be the villain for telling the truth.  Such a shame that these are the types of people running governments and writing history books.  No concept of honor or integrity.  Cover it up, obscure the facts, throw dirt on the accuser.  It was like watching a hardboiled detective take down a mafia don.  One of the more entertaining bsn dramas.
