That was indeed a hell of a party.

We need to get to 50 pages and I just know how.

Oh gawd. AQ will never admit that the Argus is decent, even if his life would depend on it.
He doesn't like it, so it can't be good.
And about recoil negating and the scope beeing "mandatory", I had no problems pugging plat with EM+HVB and warp rounds on it and I didn't even use it on a Turian. Headshotting was as easy as with other AR for me.
There's no need to further discuss this. Some just don't like it and for many that's a reason to say it's bad. I'm not a fan either, but I still admit that it's decent.

And with that beeing said...

...fuck you! I'm out. :wizard:

M-55 Argus on a Turian Ghost

1. Turian Ghost with 55% stability
2. 70% Stability mod
3. Thermal Scope with 35% accuracy

With only stability mod and no scope the spread is very clear (especially on the 3rd shot that goes WILD) even at short/medium distances

With only the scope the recoil even with Turian passives is very clear and the weapon climbs if not constantly reset.

If you move even a milimeter or adjust while in mid-burst without 1 of either of these mods - the shots go everywhere.

With both the gun is stable and accurate, but you leave your damage barrels at home, no piercing means you need AP or Drill ammo.

Still, INB4 a-hole BSN'ers completely ignoring the clear evidence and derailing everything about ****** poor shooting on a barely 30 FPS laptop with trackpad controls while not even playing (cos I know this will happen)

Maybe the spread was reduced by the scope?

In practice it ends up being quite a bit more than that because accuracy reduces both the aim error and accfirepenalty stats.

For weapons like the Argus and Valkyrie, it's the accfirepenalty that you want reduced because it's what causes the final shot of the burst to end up in no mans land.

Or if you're me, it's what you use to make Harrier users unable to hit targets at long range unless they burst fire the gun.

Both scopes have accuracy bonuses, so it is more accurate with them.

AQ is trying to prove that the scope is mandatory.

That's not really the point. The point is - you're pretty much locked with these 2 mods on Argus if you want decent consistent shooting.

I mean Capn criticized me for wanting to make the Hurricane's recoil so high that the stability mod would be almost required for it to reduce it's sustained DPS. Here you have 2 "almost mandatory" mods. That does not make a weapon great.

It almost is.
