First Solo run through

After having crashed my install en losing my save games i am starting all over again....
This time with the settings from SCSII disabled because it is my first solo game.
I already started and it quite fun to do a solo.
I started with an elven Fighter/Mage. The beginning is difficult but now i can already feel the power of soloing.
I did some quests already :
Circus Tent
Slaver Compound
Trademeet
Druid Grove
Fallen Paladins
Bridge Murders
D'Arnise Keep
Mae'Var's betrayal
Some small quests in the Government District
Some small quests in the Graveyard District.
I'm thinking about doing first the Cult of the unseeying Eye then the Astral Prison and Planar Sphere quests. I hop i am strong enough to survive those.
I'm just a little puzzled about which weapons i should use.
My profs are
Long Swords **
Flail *
Warhammer *
Two Sword Style ***
I currently are using main hand Namarra +2 and Belm in my Off Hand.
I just recently forged the Flail of Ages and bought the Defender of Easthaven.
Is it wise to switch to the flails eventhough I only have 1 star prf in them? Should I keep using Belm or Switch to DoE? Please your advice.

A bit of thoughts of your questions. As an elf you got a bonus fighting with swords and there are plenty of wonderful ones, but personally I'm a *flail maniac* so my choices would be FoA+Belm (and switch to Defender when you got WW/GWW). I think, it's more or less a personal preference and there is a RP wise approach as well (it could be strange to see a halfling warrior with huge halberd at the ready even if he/she could be very effective with it). There are no *absolute winner* or *absolute looser* choices - you could as easily win with simlpe stick as easily lose with finest weapon in Faerun.
Have fun - it's all that matters!

Is the elven bonus with long swords more powerfull than the FoA?
Maybe SCSII could be turned on considering im somewhat stronger now than in the beginning.
Because i had REAL trouble with the rashaka in the druide grove and the wizard in the grey building with three floors in the docks.

I don't think that you *should* or *should not* wait until HLAs - my current Blade don't even got WW/GWW at all but nonetheless is wearing FoA+Defender (+Offensive Spin or Haste or Improved Haste). And truth to be told Defender is pretty much irrelevant for stoneskined fighter/mage - it more suited for fighter/cleric, for example, who could combine its damage resistances with Armor of Faith and Hardiness, or cleric/thief with Jan's Armor (25% damage resistance)+Armor of Faith + Defender .
Elven bonus with swords (and bows) is +1 to hit. With you current ** in swords and Namarra +2 it would be +4 total to hit. With FoA+3 and * in flails it would be +3 total.

So if i understand it right, when i have my next prof. and i put it in flails its should also be a +4 to hit am i right? And this elemental damage excluded am i right?
Eventually i wanted to Dual Wield to following weapons:
Main Hand: FoA, Axe of Unyielding, blackrazor?
Off Hand:Angurvadal, Equaliser, Belm and possibly Hindo's Doom?

I still have problems with those kind of rules.. i mean how exactly works in the game those *** profs.
There are plenty of FAQs about those rules to be studied. You could start here (see the bottom of the page for profs tables).

Yup. You'll have +4 to hit the enemy (+3 from FoA and +1 from ** in Flails). The damage calculates separately.

Off Hand:Angurvadal, Equaliser, Belm and possibly Hindo's Doom?
Nice choice if you ask me.

BTW yesterday I did some more soloing. I did the Unseeying Eye quest. This was do-able exept for the Yuan-TI mages... really gave me a run for my money. Lot of bufs were dispelled and I have only 2 breaches and one Detect Invisibility (the rest are buff spells). I got lucky that when my character was under control of Chaotic Command the mage didnt attack me.
After that i went to release Haer'Dalis and had to fight Mekrath, I really had trouble.. After 3 reloads I defeated him with some luck and the elemental damage from FoA. His Improved Mantle was a real pain in the ***. In the time that i couldnt land a hit on him he summoned 2 Mordekain Swords.. I couldnt even hit them once..
Conclusion mages are still really difficult for me. I just became level 12 or 13 yesterday.

I hate Yuan-Ti mages...
And I think, you were under their Chaos spell effect (not Chaotic Commands spell - that's Priest's spell and you couldn't have it. And it protect you from those nasty-for-soloer Chaos spells).

They are immune to physical damage but with Magic Missiles/Skull Traps they are easy pickings...

Yesterday I did the Astral Prison again. The first party was going quite well yesterday.
The Yuan-Ti mage and Cleric were my main problems. The others went down in a few seconds.
The Cleric was easily downed after Breach on his Blade Barrier. (only problem was that he was spamming me with Flame Strikes). The mage took me more time because of all of his protections.
During the fight with the Yuan-Ti mage I ran into some more thralls. They were no trouble.
The I came upon some thralls and a Wyvern and 3 Yuan-Ti warriors (they go down after a few hits) and a stunning numer of 3!! Yuan-Ti mages. The female Thrall even used Protection from Magical Weapons! I had to reload this part for 4 or 5 times. With some luck and different strategies I was able to beat them. The Master of Thralls. He was even easier to defeat than the 2 Air Elementals with him.
After this I went to the Warden. And again a complete group of Yuan-Ti was with him. I had to reload this fight 2 times before i got lucky and the Yuan-Ti came after me and the warden stayed at his place. This time again 3 Yuan-Ti mages with a lot of Chaos and Web and Stinking cloud spells. This time the went down quicker (i had adjusted the game rules to just below Core Rules).
The Warden was no real problem. I did had to look out for his Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting spells.
After this fight i set the game rules back to core because i really want to keep going on Core Rules.
It seems that mages and clerics have more and higher level spells to there disposal. The still act a lot smarter than vanilla and use dispel like there is no tommorow.

Can you tell from my story if i still have some remnants from SCSII installed? Or is this because im soloing?
It's hard to tell that from the story but you could easily check that by inspecting the WeiDU.log file in your game directory.

When dealing with Bodhi i tried to go to the north Forest, Small Teeth Pass and Forest of Tethyr. All those levels were corrupt. After a few hours of trying to fix the mI finally found the really simple solution. Remove the map files from the Override Dir. now everything works again and am now facing Irenicus on the Tree of Life.
Soloing make you really really powerfull but I still have problems with Mag like enemies! Till so far a really fun run.
