So basically you want to be at best an amoral psychopath?
It's subjective.

That's a different question altogether. If you're given the choice to do one or the other, fine by me. If you're forced to follow a certain path, then how is that an improvement?
if you have a Blue and Orange view of the world sure.KainD wrote...

I agree. Though Bioware stated that demons=bad in a GI interview, so. I think that you'll not have the choice to put demons in people, or let them free in Thedas.

Which is also a shame, because it doesn't make sense to me at all why demons would even want to randomly hurt anyone, when they get a free pass into the real world without deals and possesions to enjoy the view. It should really be explained.

I'm not confident it will. In fact, I'm not even sure it could. Varric could keep up the ruse. Cassandra is misinformed. Any returning characters might just be sticking to the same story. Unless we actually witness those events in Kirkwall, it would remain possible that the accounts of those events are simply mistaken, because of well-placed misinformation arising from Varric.Arcane Warrior Mage Hawke wrote...

I think I could handle that, but prepare for an explosion of rage and butthurt within the BSN when that happens.

My expectation, given the information released so far, is that, to deal with a much greater threat, we will need the cooperation of both sides of that war. To get that cooperation, we can either forge a peace between them, take one side and subjugate the other (thus earning loyalty from one, and forcing obedience from the other), or we'll get to defeat them both if we're particularly maniacal.MasterScribe wrote...
I don't think we'll be dealing with the Mage-Templar War from either side.
I think we're more like an emissary between them or voice of reason.

I don't have a 'main view' of the world, so I expect this wouldn't be a problem.KainD wrote...
So imagine this:
DA:I comes out, and it is an awesome game. Gameplay is spectacular, plot is very well and intelligently written, voice acting is superb, soundtracks are awesome.
BUT, the main plot contradicts your personal views of the Dragon age world
....
Would you still enjoy the game?
He said 'well and intelligently written' so I assume something like the Imperial Agent classline in SWTOR. You're doing horrible things for the Empire, but plot and characterization is strong enough that it doesn't feel reductive.Wulfram wrote...
Less caricatured opposing positions to mine would be different, though I'd still be disappointed if the game was so restrictive.
