Why don't you people like to use the Geth Plasma Shotgun for soloing?

Occasionally yes, but not all the time. Still I don't see anyone advocate this weapon for a Gold or Platinum solo.
And Guardian's shield is no problem for the GPS with Warp Rounds, Disruptor or Incendiary.
You could be less obvious.
Well, it's true. It works fine even without those ammo powers but with them it's even better. For instance if you put Warp Rounds IV on then a GI can kill a Guardian on Platinum in one shot just by shooting at his shield.

OT: when I'm soloing, I go for speed and, as I'm not as good with the GPS as I am with the Wraith, Claymore, Javelin or Talon, I don't use it that much. My first solo non-krogard solo was with the GPS Shaman though.
And when you go for speed on a map outside of Glacier, what is a good time for you?
Depends on map, enemy, kit and weapon. Sub-25 for any combinaison though. But, that being said, I'm not the greatest soloist of all time.
And you can get below that time quite easily with the GPS, so why wouldn't you consider that one for speed? I mean, you say you are not good with it but what would happen if you actually started to use it?

I can't play anymore. Or else I'd have done it.

I've never really found anything wrong with the gun, just weight and fact I like putting melee mods on my GI's weapons, mean I have to think lighter weapons if I wanna play the melee build.

your twenty three minute GI gold solo isn't impressive because the fastest GI solo is a whole ten minutes faster. The thing your missing here is that while the GPS might be really good on the GI, it's not the best weapon on the GI. Not even close.

I personally like the GPS a lot actually. I used to rock that gun like there was no tomorrow. Especially when it was released. The gun is powerful, has excellent stagger and the range of accuracy is crazy. You can almost snipe with the gun. Its a good gun in the hands of those who know how to use it.

I hear you on the walls part but you can shoot a guardian straight on with the GPS.

You can, but doing so does require a degree of finesse, I never really had toe patience to consistently try for it. But again, looking at another of my posts, it worked really surprisingly well on an AJA. not ideal, but still effective, and rather fun.

IIRC, the GPS was the original gun that made Phantoms into lolPhantoms.
This. Phantoms don't get 9000% DR while staggered

I can and do, but it's not as satisfying to use, because you can't gib heads with it.
This. Head removal is extremely satisfying, also shooting something and watching it go flying ala kishock is satisfying. GPS just doesn't do that. Also, sore trigger finger after use. It is a good gun though, much better than say, the katana or the scimitar.

I used it as my only weapon on my first recorded lvl 1 Gold solo as well (which was 10 waves survived) and in that game I had a lvl 1 Krogan Sentinel. I use it frequently on biotic classes, engineers, soldiers and infiltrators as well with great results. So no, it's not only one of the best weapons on the GI but for more overall.
How many Gold solos on Giant have been done faster than the one I posted? And how many of them were on console? You are comparing apples and oranges here, Glacier vs Giant, PC vs Console, modded objectives vs not modded objectives.
I'm fairly sure that you can get down to around 15-16 minutes on console on Glacier with this if you have a good game with good objectives and spawns.

power creep
and
cant shoot through cover/ guardian shields.
its a good gun, 2x so on melee kits, anti-armor, or a mid-far range shotgun,
but there is a lot of great shotguns out there, so it doesn't get as much time in the light as it used to.
GPSG was beast in vanilla/start of ME3mp.

Provided you bring something else for armor (or more specifically enemies with multiple hit bugs), probably.

That it is. I can probably go around 18 or so with it with lucky spawns, not that that is a big deal in the grand scheme of things. You'll never go 15 minutes on cerberus though, because they use cover too much.AizenSosuke1984 wrote...
I record so there is no video but on my geth engineer gold solo against geth on white I use only the GPSG and came in under 30 minutes. I forgot the objectives and it was not the powerhouse GI and one of my first solos so I think a sub 20 on glacier with the GI is very doable. As a matter of fact it's the weapon I use most on the human engineer as well. Every once in a while I pretend to be a hunter and slap it on the GI to deal the geth some of their own medicine but not as much as the javelin.

The Gold solo would have been 10 Waves Survived if I didn't step on a grenade that exploded in the exact same moment (it was literally impossible to avoid).
edit: The Plat solo was almost 10 WS survived as well, but I lost three gels in a row during wave 6 cleanup (it was my own mistake though).

Just did two GI GPS only solos for the lulz, modded the game to give me escorts/pizzas only. 28 mintues for Platinum, 16:38 for Gold. In both cases I had really horrible spawns, so 25 minutes for Plat and 15 for Gold is defintiely possible with a little bit of luck.

Geth is generally easier to kill with the GPS. Maybe because it is a Geth weapon?!

You have just proved my point in the matter, thanks a lot Hendrix
Did you happen to record any of them? Or could you please do a few solos in the future and record them as well? I would watch it
