Why don't you people like to use the Geth Plasma Shotgun for soloing?

I record everything in this game. I usually wait until I get 10 WS before I upload anything (if it's a solo where 10 WS is likely to get). However, I'm not really sure if I'll try this solo again, since I don't play this game very much anymore, so I might just upload the two videos in low quality and as unlisted for the time being.
Please do upload it

But I agree, it's good gun and I love it on the GJ. And it's a bit meh offhost, though manageable.
Venom is better for me.

i would take the venom over the reegar... since it is apparently ok to shake the crap out of everyones screen, but its not ok to do immense dps to platinum bosses. darn bsn moral policies

That's one thing that is actually good with the Venom, it is an amazing weapon if you want to troll!

I'm fairly sure that you can get down to around 15-16 minutes on console on Glacier with this if you have a good game with good objectives and spawns.
I would be interested in seeing that.

Yeah, Hendrix just proved that it can be done easily on PC if you're a good soloist. I fully believe it can be done on console too and here is why:
Usually speedruns on PC is a lot easier due to them being able to kill enemies in one headshot, on console the freaking auto-aim makes it a lot harder to obtain those headshots and also the turning speed of a character is way slower so it makes it harder to make a precise aim at an enemy. With the GPS you can kill enemies in one shot by shooting at their bodies while hip firing, thus the auto-aim will be neglected. The GPS can also home in slightly on enemies which makes the precise aiming less vital, thus neglecting the disadvantage in turning speed on console. Also, on host Phantoms die in 1-2 shots while it usually takes a lot longer to kill them if you try to go for headshots.
I will not be able to do it since I'm not really that good at soloing, but I'm sure that some of you guys out here could do it without much trouble.

Venom on the BatSol is actually a great geth troll. Between expolosive venom rounds blowing up and balistic blades being both fire and blowing up you have enough stun lock to show them how it's done proper like. Plus while you revenge stun lock them inferno nades just melt anything. The venom will even stagger a banshee/prime/atlas. Good stuff. Venom BatSol is one of my fav lol puggin kits these days cuz he just rofl stomps

I actually had it with me when I did my weapons platform GT plat solo. And if you don't have lolcloak and lolproxy mine then three lolgoons chasing you can be a bit problematic.

Wow, the GPS is great on the GI? It must be one of the best weapons in the game, lol. Don't get me wrong, I like the gun. But it's not that overwhelming.

It still really good even on other characters if you know how to use it in synergy with powers and such. Today I tried it on my Vorcha Hunter for the first time and got a 25 minute Gold solo against Geth with no armored compartments. Was just trying it out so didn't record but I think I will do a Platinum solo with it and record instead.
I frequently use it on a lot of classes and I usually get better times in a solo with it than with another weapon.
I agree with it not being the best for the GT if you go for the weapon build, because all he gets is a lot of defensive abilities and not so much offensive abilities. Still, even then it is not really worse than any other weapon that you put on him. Try it on the flamer build and it work even better than the Acolyte or the Scorpion on him.
Don't try to compare to the Reegar though, because we all know there's no weapon that can match the Reegar

You just shoot straight at them and they usually die in one or two shots.

Ehh, you only need to charge the GPS if you want to do more damage in a single shot. To use it properly you can't charge it up all the time, because you would be an idiot if you did. Usually it is one charged shot followed up by a couple of normal shots. It's not like with the Acolyte where you have to charge it up every single time.

Doesn't change how I feel about it. It is a charging weapon, ergo I wont use it.

lol, it's a weapon that allows you to choose whether you want to use it as a charging weapon or a normal weapon
If you don't like charging weapons, then just use it as a normal weapon and problem solved!

I will typically just charge the first shot before running up to a spawn, after that, I just kill thing uncharged.dumdum2 wrote...
