I imagine someone trained in martial arts, has biotic capabilities, and tech that permits cloaking would make a pretty formidable opponent when topped off with something called a monomolecular blade.

I realized I didn't say something in the best way earlier. When I said a molecular blade could cut through ME tech armor, I meant "armor at the level of technology ME has" not "tech armor"... Which is a completely different thing.

I don't get why Cerberus women had their voice removed,I guess to make them sound more intimidating and less human?

Which one? We have the huge walrus-level soup strainer of Stalin, and the fuhrer's little evil paintbrush of evil.

Apparently, only Jack is special enough to have her voice intact when she's turned into a phantom.

Clearly TIM is sexist and prefers woman to not talk because he finds talking woman annoying.

This would look good on him.

That's not a particularly evil mustache. I imagine someone sporting that barreling down the road in a Stutz Bearcat or cruising along the avenue on a high-bi before I imagine him tying a lady to the railroad tracks.

I'm curious if any of the people making fun of how supposedly mustache twirling evil Kai Leng is are the same people who demand that the Reapers remain unexplained mindless killing machines any time the issue arises.

I think Kai Lang is like that and I wanted the Reapers explained as in-depth as possible.

Why do I feel like this sentence is weirdly worded? Also, I think KL with a moustache is superior to what we got, and I really never cared about the Reapers origins.

So...yes?

I see no reason why that would be the case.

Well, it fallows a similar logic as to why swords are better than knifes in a ancient battle.

The omni-tool is not a knife, in comparison.

Those are not even remotely comparable. The Reapers claimed from the beginning that they were incomprehensible to us, are far more powerful than Kai Leng, and were clearly inspired HP Lovecraft and similar works, which used our primal fear of the unknown to great effect. Kai Leng was a fellow human, so he could be easily understood by us, so we naturally expected Kai Leng to have deeper characterization. Plus, he never claimed to be incomprehensible or unknowable, the way the Reapers did.

I know that you're insinuating that someone who holds those belief is a hypocrite. It's not true in the slightest.

Complete and absolute garbage. The Reapers say they're unknown and incomprehensible, and that suddenly makes it so? Suddenly the player stops caring and accepts it? Utterly ridiculous. You couldn't be more wrong. The truth is that the complete opposite happens. The player is more interested in the motivations and purpose of the Reapers for their dialogue.

I would have thought it beyond obvious that the point of the mystery surrounding the Reapers was to entice the player. I guess I was wrong. No, there's no question at all that the point of the narrative making the Reapers mysterious was to get the player thinking and wondering, not to make them dumbly stop caring.

If you seriously stop thinking and stop caring about an enemy's motivation just because he says 'You won't understand my motivation," then Mass Effect is clearly far too complex for you.
