And is a valid topic of discussion because:

1. If you play pugs, you know the value of being able to solo.
2. There is a challenge for SOLOING.
3. The threads created for soloing usually entail information regarding builds, weapons and strategy that may be useful to someone still trying to complete the SOLO challenges.

Please feel free to discuss.

Which is odd, since the mere act of reading any of his posts is giving them a lot more credit than they deserve.

I just happened upon the thread after lock and thought I had some points that I deemed valid.

If Bioware didn't like soloing, they would have just made it so that you can't start with less than 2 players.

But they didn't.

Solo challenge was added in response to the prevalence of players choosing to solo games. The game was never intended to be played solo and all balance was made around the ideal state of a 4-man team.

If you want to solo, that's your business. However I don't care for when you come here to brag about it.

Wrong. It's not helping any imaginary cause of yours. Contribute to the discussion or go away.

What are we discussing? I feel like whether any given person on here considers "soloing...a part of multiplayer" or not to be pretty much of zero significance to anything ever.

That's my contribution to the discussion, anyway.

The word "multiplayer" begs to differ.

I see your point, but to me, "multiplayer" means a game that more than one person can play, not necessarily must.

I'm enjoying soloing now and despite being a multiplayer game, in public matches you may have to resort to soloing several waves. Whether soloing was intended or not you may still be required to do so in some circumstances. I'd rather drag my squad to victory, in some shape or form, than just quit because they cannot handle it. However, I am generous.

tl;dr: soloing is a part of this game because if your whole team goes down then you are either required to continue or ragequit like a bitch.

Exactly why I would much rather solo than pug anymore.

It is part of the game, i only did it twice on gold, got my lone wolf banner, and never soloed again and i never will. But that's just my preference.

Personally, I agree. Soloing in this multiplayer isn't only an option, but a damn fine opportunity to try out new configurations, as well as hone skill sets and weapon use, without forcing a team to deal with your learning curve.

For someone to imply it isn't...meh.

I personally dont mind people bragging about their solos. Its natural to want to share with people (or someone) a personally important accomplishment/achievement. Besides i feel those people have earned their bragging rights and its only fair that they exercise them. :wizard:
