This guy completed the game, gained the loyalty of all his squad members, but didn't get the achievement for his entire squad surviving.

Just like I thought, awesome, it's going to take more then just loyalty to get everyone out alive.

I love this.

I am sure there will be a guide but man this is good news.

Upgrades you make and the choices you make during the mission have an impact as well.

Yes, there's more to it, like upgrading Normandy. Also, it's possible to lose loyalty after earning it.

Yep upgrading gear, your ship, and the choices you make will make the final determination.

not once did i ever think bioware would make a cut and dry story and spell out how to get the best ending in a few vids. and if they did, they woudlnt of told us about loyalty; they have to have left some surprise:mellow:

Damn, I was hoping the leaked achievement list was fake. I thought they looked really easy compared to the first game - and he's just got all but five of them in one playthrough in four days.

I noticed that as well. I actually don't mind that though. Maybe this way I can actually get all 1000.

There is hard and then there is annoying I think a lot of ME1 required multiple playthroughs and was just annoying after awhile especially the ally ones; I welcome these new ones.

uhm.....he has the power gamer achievement....Christina said it is nearly impossible (very VERY hard) to get it in a singloe playthrough, he likely played more than once

ME1's achievements were just time consuming...

And forced you to play in a certain way, the Asari Ally achievement for example required you to skip -everything-

I'm curious if it's possible to be a sole survivor in the ME2 ending.

Colonist - Sole Survivor + the ending of ME2 would ultimately lead to my Shepard being suicidal.
