He's the OGB from the future.

This makes a worryingly large amount of sense.

"What is your relationship with your father?" "Ah, so you DO have a father! Now we are getting to the heart of things."

...yeah, I actually agree. That would be disturbingly fitting.

In my game I let him live so he's still mad and a hermit somewhere out in the world

Sten cut his head off, then said today's weather was bit on the rainy side.

Dead. Cause of death: got in my way.

Dead. Cause of death: asked too many questions.

Dead.

Cause of death: It was too much hassle to get the stuff he wanted when I could just run him through right there and take the acorn.

Man, I loved that crazy guy. Couldn't bring myself to kill him.

Dead and gone. Shouldn't have provided me with experience for killing him.

I really love this character in DAO and I would LOVE to see him in  DAI now that the templars are rogued. I want him to become the leader of the mages.

My Surana Warden left him alive (and helped the Grand Oak Tree via trading), but I think his mental instability would get in the way of him being an effective leader. I'm curious what happened to the tower that he built in the Brecillian Forest; Zathrian mentions that it's said to have mysteriously disappeared...

I assumed it was in the stump that he lived in. Tricksy mages...

I thought it was a nod to the Baldur's Gate series with the mention of the disappearing tower.

I originally intended for some silly speculation humour.

Now I'm intrigued.

I would like to learn his origin .
He was a mage.
Since he hadn't been in the tower since Wynne had been there, or she would have recognised him, where did he come from?

Dead, eatenby scavengers, kept him alive only long enough to get the Ancient Elven Helm for my AW/SH elven mage.  All others simply killed him by trying to bash some sense into him.

I killed him because he didn't believe my warden's name was Alfred.

Last time I checked, the mad hermit was suffering from a bad case of dead.

You guys thought you killed him?

Lelianna and Oghren want words with you all.

Yeah. You defeated him in combat but he survived and is now out for revenge in Inquisition. Revenge that will never be complete since The Warden mysteriously vanished.

I killed him. Couldn't have him stealing the Grand Oak's acorn again.
