I am aiming to romance Jack but it seems to be taking forever to cut to the chase. Do a mission, talk to her. Do a mission, talk to her, on and on and on. With Miranda I think it is like 2, 3 convo's max. With Tali it is two. (Don't know about Thane, Garrus, or Jacob.) On top of that she basically tells you to eff off during every convo. Is there any romance that takes as long to get to as hers?

I think the intention was to stretch out the romance convos, so they wouldn't be one-shot deals like they were in ME1. Jack was supposed to be trying to push you off because her past experiences. Of course, you can have sex with her right after you meet her, but that doesn't lead anywhere.

Still, I wouldn't call any of the ME romances "hard", if you want hard, try Viconia in Baldur's Gate or the evil romance with Dawn Star in Jade Empire. :D

I don't remember Jack's romance being any harder than the rest, but I haven't done it in a while. If hers takes more time to get to then I say that's good. My only major complaint about ME2 is that there aren't more conversations.

I will say that Jack's romance is worth any extra effort it takes. It ranks as my second favorite in the game, and this comes from someone who used to hate everything about Jack.

You do realize that everyone thinks Shepard is nuts for romancing Jack? Kasumi thinks Shepard is crazy. Liara thinks Shepard is crazy. Even Jack thinks Shepard is crazy, which is why she finally goes along with it: she likes the kink.

Lol no I really didn't. But I was speaking more about the development of Jack's character in the romance.

But let 'em think Shep is  crazy. The best part of the Jack romance plot, IMO, is that Shep is the one to finally get through all her "Psychotic Biotic" crap. Posted Image

Well, this Jack romance is paying some dividends in ME3 already. Just got to Grissom and got lots of new dialogue (obviously). What was really cool though was that I used Jack for the bubble on this play through (often I use Samara because I skip Jack's loyalty mission) because I wanted Samara as part of the squad. As a result, Jack added a line of dialogue about holding up the bubble.

I think this romance is going to have a pretty decent pay off in ME3, especially with Citadel. Heck even the romance scene in ME2 was nicely understated, more comforting than wild, which I didn't expect.

Still, though, I won't be doing Jack again. So I'll savor it while I can.
