Why do you *want* COnrad as a LI?
To work up to a sexual relationship only to laugh at his penis, deny him any kind of pleasure and laugh again, thus, destroying him emotionally and spirituality.
Suicide is a possible outcome.

A body pillow depicting Shepard doesn't qualify as a wife.cooldonkeyfish wrote...

Okay, in Japan it does, but not so much in the rest of the universe...

Why would he make up having a wife? Why would he make up the fact that his wife gave him the credits to go play Shepard on Ilium? It was a lie.

Because he wanted to seem normal and not admit to being the freak he was. People do that. Where they're self-aware of their own obsessions.
At first, he's like yeah.. my wife will love this.. Oh, and hey, lets have some drinks on Earth sometime, bro!

Why would he lie about it?
The same reason that sometimes you catch people lying about having girlfriends/boyfriends. To appear normal.

They are kind of similar, and do complement each other.
Maybe they will be the protagonists in ME4
Play as Conrad or Jenna, the other becomes an NPC LI..... Male or Female human, make your pick. Conrad or Jenna Verner!

Easy. He idolizes Shepardhe has a Helga-approved (Hey Arnold) candle shrine and everything. Just no chewed gum. He admits that his wife was a lie in the 3rd game, and never had one. Stalkerish, imo. I would have... taken care of him discreetly in a back alley. But my Shepard was nice, so... I went along with it. He had good intentions, albeit strange.
Yeah, I'm the same way. It's funny being mean to him, but I don't want him to die. I have this superstitious headcanon thing going on where if Conrad dies, then my Shepard should die. They're mystically intertwined, whether I like it or not. Maybe if I pick one of the lame endings, I'll eventually kill Conrad along with Shepard.

Lol, I felt the same way when I got to understand him better. When I did my first playthrough of Mass Effect, I was disappointed to hear the news in the elevator that Conrad was killed by some turians. So I made sure to go back and do the quest properly (with intimidation, because lulz) so I could go through his quest in ME2 and 3. I was really pleasantly suprised that being a completionist, doing all the quests and UNC's and whatnot, actually paid off for him in the end.

I always liked the idea of Shepard suddenly loving Conrad after sex and then Conrad being less then happy with it and finally getting over Shepard - leaving her/him dumbfounded.simfamSP wrote...
