I own all 3 and my Vita is 'my' personal favourite of the 3 consoles but if I had to recommend one to another gamer than I would have to go with the 3DS.

Not only does it have the largest library of games but it is also has the best selection of games ( both 1st and 3rd party ).

As much as I love my Vita there isn't anything on it that is a must own or a must buy title.

The Wii U lacks games in General. At the moment the only Wii U game that own is Monster Hunter Ultimate. Tried the wonderful 101 demo and hated the controls. Pikmin looks interesting but I know from experience on the Gamecube version that this game won't hold my attention for long. The Wii U's second screen is just a gimmick, a very poor one. The day I bought my Wii U I set it up in the living room ( as a opposed to my own room where all my other consoles are ), I wanted to test out the limits of the range of the Wii U controller, it dies when I leave my living room ( which is very small by the way ). I also can't see any benefits to playing a game on the small screen when I have a large LED screen in front of me. Then again I will probably change my tune when Wind Waker HD finally becomes available in Europe.

Good point J. Reezy. I should probably explain my original post a bit more. Persona 4 is great game, one of the best I have ever played and definitely a must own game if you own on a Vita and I would probably be more impressed by it's existence if I did not own a PS2 and owned a copy of Persona 4 for the PS2 as well. At the end of the day the best game on the Vita is port of a game that came out in 2008/2009.

Also a good point. That is kind of sad. I haven't been following the Vita's releases much so I'm not sure if it has a much better library or not. Taking longer than a year to build up a solid library of games isn't good.

Vita has better hardware and better functionality with home consoles (remote play on PS3 and PS4) but the 3DS has a larger selection of games.

Apparently it is possible to download games even if your country doesn't have an eShop. I don't think it's possible for the U.S. because your credit card's billing address has to be in the U.S. but you can simply select the Canada or Brazil stores for instance.

Still, it's a bit ridiculous how difficult it is to download digital games in this day and age.<_<

Still just one game!

EDIT: Isn't there some Persona details coming soon?

Don't blow your money on me.

I checked the 25 best vita games based on metacritic, and a great deal of those are either a) Digital Downloads for PC or B) Ported Sequels/Collectors Editions. Wii-U is a bit hard to tell in their game lineup as well.

Frankly I don't care to get any of the 3 myself, but I'd go for 3DS if I had to choose.

For video games? Not sure. I know Atlus registered a Persona 5 domain name not too long ago. I'm expecting any Persona news to be about the movie coming out.

I bought the Vita version after having played the PS2 version - Totally worth it. I felt Golden added so much new content that it was worth buying it again, unlike Nintendo or Capcom's idea of re-releasing the game over and over..
With the Vita you can pretty much get all of the Persona games, except for that one sequel to Persona 2 - Eternal Punishment was it? Anyway, I'd say it's worth it, but the 3DS probably have a good lineup of games by comparison.

Damn I think I need a Vita now. I'm set with Eternal Punishment if I can just find a relatively affordable copy on Amazon for PS1, along with a memory card. I think $400 dollars was the highest price I saw for it.

3DS. Lots of really good games. Only reason to get the Vita would be this. Image IPB

You actually can get Eternal Punishment on the Vita - I picked up Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. Also, since we're all talking about Persona atm - you might as well get Persona 3 Portable if you end up liking the series (although P3P is pretty dark).

Yeah, the original version is in the US, not Europe though.. surprise, surprise - However, the PSP remake never made it outside of Japan which adds a lot of new stuff including a brand new storyline, which reveals what happened to Tatsuya before he meets with the party mid-way through the game. Adding some more closure, like that of Golden anyway.

@Chris: Oops, downer - okay, let's amend that to: if you're in America, you can get Eternal Punishment on your Vita.
