So, pretty much the title.
I keep seeing praise for the game and how scary it is so I'm considering getting it. Saw a small playthrough and I got some serious Silent Hill 4 vibes which is awesome.
Also, why is the guy you play as always grinning? I can't take it seriously.

It's a fine game, especially if you can get it on sale. If you're big on horror games then Lone Survivor is definitely something to check out, if only because of its ability to be pretty scary given the very basic graphical approach. The best thing that it does is the atmosphere, and it gets it right. The baddies are pretty spooky for a while but it's not really anywhere close to Amnesia: TDD.
Some sticking points:
-It's short, but it's still impressive for a game made by a one-man studio.
-The meat of the story plays out like a spooky old-school adventure game. Thankfully most of the puzzles don't stray to close to solving the soup cans
-There are different endings that (if you're like me) don't really make any sense unless you scrounge up information online, but also adds replay value which (if you're like me) is also pretty nice
If anything it's definitely worth playing, especially if you can get it on sale. And I'll assume you're kidding about the grin? It's a surgical mask lol
