OK, this is different than the actual Mass Effect movie. This is not about the near future big screen movie. It is about the game turned onto movies that people upload onto YouTube.
Several people have made them, and uploaded them. Some are obviously better than others, but I found one that is head and shoulders above the rest. It's also the longest...36 hours for all three games.
The person who made them did a few things right. First, he did sacrifice the story to hide the fact that it is a game. That comes mostly from the fact that he includes relevant fighting scenes from the game. A lot of fighting, but only as it is needed to allow you to understand what is going on.
The others, the ones that cut out every last fight scene, felt disjointed. Anyone who had not played the game would soon lose interest.
it is also broken down into smaller segments, which are called (surprise surprise) episodes. He also did an incredible job with these in that each one appears to be a TV episode, complete with a "previously on Mass Effect" intro.

One thing to note is that for some reason, not all of the episodes start at 0:00. Some start later so you have to move the slider back to 0:00.
About the "Previously on Mass Effect" intros, you will see that he didn't just put stuff from the previous episode. You will really notice this in the ME3 episode intros, where he has some ME1 and ME2 clips.
The one and only mistake I think he made, as did most of the others, is the background music is too loud in a few spots.
