Yep, the camaraderie of the crew. They were what made the Normandy worth exploring, and the conflicts worth fighting.
I hope ME4's roster gets the chance to feel established in that regard.
What will you miss the most about the ME Trilogy once ME4 is there?

I'm adverse to change. But if it's handled well, then I'll be okay with it.
But I'll definitely miss Shepard and the crew. Most notably... Garrus (him mostly), Wrex, Tali, Grunt, Kaidan, and the rest of the me2 crew EXCEPT Jacob. He can go die in a fire.

For me, Shepard and a lot of other things I cared about kind of died with ME3. My loss of agency in the story caused me to stop caring aobut Shepard a while ago. And unfortunately, that'd kind of broke the connection I used to feel with the squadmates. And I feel almost resentment for The Illusive Man and Cerberus, because I thought they were really cool and then they went completely stupid at the trilogy's conclusion.
So I'm actually looking forward to a new protagonist, team, and story. Because it's very likely that they'll ultimately end up meaning more to me than the original trilogy does now.
I think what I'm going to miss the most is the Normandy SR-2. ME3 soured that a little bit for me too, because I really liked how it was in ME2. But even still the Normandy was an awesome ship. I mean no disprespect by this, but I doubt Bioware could make a ship I'd like more than the Normandy.

I'll accompany starmine76 about exploring the world and especially Citadel for the first time, and would like to add how Shepard's dialogue (and Mark Meer's delivery of it) made it for me. Also the way you began to feel like home there after seeing more planets and different sides of each culture.
Although I'm not so certain it wouldn't be able to feel fresh again in upcoming MEs, since there's still plenty to see by yourself and to discover - it's the bloody space for goodness' sake after all! I'd also count on salarians to grant abrupt turns to old things.
While I'm going to return to the trilogy eventually, I'm already missing the characters. Maybe it's good they didn't overstay their welcome then, but we saw and heard some amazing character designs, animations, quotes, dynamics and voice acting. I for one never got tired of them, and was more or less secretly left longing for an encore or two, and I'm usually the one to get easily bored or intimidated by lengthy "eternity series". Deep sigh, and a glass of something expensive when I'll replay the trilogy again. Let the new cast accept the challenge and not overlap too much.

Shepard and Robin Sachs. I can't say anything else because as far as we know, there could be little cameos of the non-Shepard characters in ME4
Then again, there's the importing, which again may still happen if ME4 gets a sequel

Nothing, because I'll still be playing the original trilogy. It isn't like these games are going anywhere.

My buddies from the Normandy. I feel a little sick in the thought of never being able to talk to Garrus again :-(

Agreed. As much as I absolutely loved to former crew, with honorably mentions going to Liara, Garrus, Tali and Joker, I did feel during ME3 (and especially during the Citadel DLC) that every single mentioning, background story and joke had pretty much been used up.
It's time for a couple of fresh faces and an equally exciting storyline with an ending that lives up to the expectations of the fanbase, if that is at all achievable of course.

I will miss Shepard and Crew but at the sametime I will be ready to embrace a new hero with a new crew and a new threat to tackle. Shepard and crew were awesome but after three games it is time to let them retire.

The whole damn thing. I love this series (with minor exceptions for original ME3 ending and ME2 limited companion skills).

There is no game in which I have so much time like the ME trilogy. What will I miss the most? This is really tough. The pis**ng contests with the council...the standoff with Wrex in Virmire...building a romantic relationship with Tali and Traynor...the sniping contest with Garrus on the Citadel...the Reaper/Trasher-Maw deathmatch...the small talk in the elevators...calling every shop on the citadel my "favourite shop on the citadel"...punching Admiral Han Gerrell...punching that reporter with the tongue breaking name...headbutting Krogans...there's so much to miss, I can't even list all of it.

I'll miss the way I used to feel about this series back in the ME1 and ME2 days. After ME3 came out I find that the only emotions I feel towards this franchise are anger, depression, disappointment and fear ( for the future of the franchise ). It's shocking how much faith and good will I lost in Bioware after ME3.

Unfortunately, I'm in this boat as well. I was very into the first game's storyline, slightly into the second(though it was more combat-focused and character-focused), and by the time I played Mass Effect 3, the interest in the crew pretty much vanished. My problem with ME3 was the storyline was more of a means to an end similar to God of War 3: The main goal of the game has little to no intrigue and focuses more on "taking down the bad guys". Cereal-Consuming Raiden Clones do not quite qualify as intrigue, though I think they did fairly well with Tuchanka/Rannoch/etc.All of Mass Effect canon is dead to me.
Ultimately what I'm going to miss is what I missed from the first: An engaging/mysterious soundtrack, vast anomalous planets to explore, and a gripping atmosphere - Something the 2nd and 3rd have not quite captured. Pulling a mulligan with the reaper storyline and characters may be some fresh air for the formula.
Here's hoping.

The Normandy and her crew. Aside from that, I'm ready for a new story. It'll be interesting what state the galaxy is in, in ME4.

Besides Kasumi...(I will miss her immensely)
I think the next Mass Effect game will have an even stronger focus on multiplayer. That seems to be the way the whole industry is going. I think it will have some sort of 'drop in' game play element, where your friends can drop in and be part of your crew.
The majority of the reason I loved Mass Effect though was because when I played (especially ME2 which is what first introduced me to the series) I felt like I was out in the vast emptiness of space, exploring all alone. I had never played a BioWare game before this, so learning the gameplay system was completely new to me and all I had to rely on was my crew and it was up to me to get us through that mission. I had just sort of a haunting feeling to it. It wasn't like any other gaming experience I've ever had. It wasn't scary or too action focused, it was just sort of ... lonely and I liked that.
Being connected is great, sometimes...but the story is what makes the great games great and keeps them being talked about for years, versus just the new fad that everyone is playing.
sorry...i got a little off track...blame it on the sweet tea vodka

It was a good run, but we have done almost everything with everyone of them.
Looking at some of the fan fiction I would say some people did a little bit too much....
But, each to their own.
Time for something new I think. Assuming it's good.

I'll miss Shepard and the crew. Especially the characters who've been along since the first game, but some of the ones from the other games too.
They were my Shep's team. It won't be the same without them, and it certainly won't be the same when my Shep isn't leading them anymore.
Darn it. I haven't been to this part of the forums for quite a while now, and this got me thinking about the game and the ending and some very spoilerific details and how I won't get any more interaction with the crew members and how Shep's story is over. I can't even deal with doing a replay because the ending is too depressing.
Sad panda
Edit: It will be nice with a new game and new characters, though. It will be fun. I'm hoping for some new ideas for the universe too so that it's not exactly the same as in the previous games.

This too. I'll be playing it for years to come. I'd even buy the trilogy on PS4/XBone if it were to come out as an HD remaster [even if ME2 and 3 aren't likely to see big graphical updates, ME1 still could].
I still haven't gotten all the achievements on them
