I have been having problems with the Origin in game feature, it turns out it was conflicting with MSI Afterburner. As soon as I stopped running Afterburner, Origin started cooperating.

Not sure if that will help you or not.

Wut?

Would you care to elaborate, please? I use afterburner myself, I'm interested in this.

I couldn't use origin in game, it just wouldn't work after the latest update. I also couldn't invite friends into a lobby I kept getting the message that "origin in game must be active for this to work". I could hear origin alerts. But wasn't getting any popups.

It might just be that the version of afterburner that I am using might be the issue, but some people on the afterburner forums are saying that the new version is having the same problem. Or it might be the features that I use might conflict with origin in game, because it was the in game part that was having a problem.

I also couldn't alt-tab out of the game. Unless I changed from fullscreen to windowed.

Origin is too powerful to be conquered by mere mortals.

Origin is the biggest bag of BS that was ever made.

Tried not updating, but it became worse so I had to upgrade.

I had tried to use a backup copy of origin from before the latest update and had it set not to keep origin updated, it wouldn't even run without doing the update.:pinched:

Kept calling it a "criticle update".

I had similar issues. Disabling origin in-game and changing to fullscreen borderless fixed the ability to alt+tab. I also had to disable GeForce Experience to prevent crashes.

If you are running them, the EA website also says to disable
