Sooo... I modified a dlg of the game and the exporting with dependant resources is going crazy.

This dlg has (aside from the lots and scripts) a cutscene and a stage, but when I export it with dependant resources it starts to export all kinds of crazy (namely items, plots from totally random npcs and what have you).

Wth ? I thought the "with dependant resources" also meant with "RELEVANT dependant resources" ? :-/

Is this right? Should I export it in another way? This is the only game dlg in which the export is so long. I've tried with another dlg from the OC and the export made more sense...

...thanks :-/

(the dlg is ntb220cr_grand_oak, in case that's important...)

If any of the scripts include core includes, it grabs all the plots referenced by them. If the any of the scripts are main plot type ones, you can end up with all the codex plots, companion plots and main quest plots. Depending on what modifications you made, it may be easier to export things individually without dependent resources. Providing you get every resource you changed, this will work.

Yeah, I think I'll go ahead and try to export without dependent resources from now on...

Thanks :-/

Exporting most things with dependent resources works ok. Exporting scripts that include (often indirectly) lots of plots really needs to be done without. However, if your other resources reference those scripts...

We could do with a way of specifying that we haven't changed a core resource therefore it doesn't need to be exported as a dependent resource because players already have those. Or maybe there is one, but I don't know what it is.
