Personally, I enjoyed it thoroughly. I really had fun with the stealth and stealing, even though it did get repetitive. I thought it did a great job setting up atmosphere, especially with the Moira Asylum level. Two other favorite levels were the House of Blossoms and the Baron's mansion. Combat was a bit clunky but this game mainly focused on ways how to avoid combat. Which I loved. Story was nothing special and the ending was a letdown.
I've never played the original games and I have no desire to. I will, however, be looking forward to future Thief titles. If there will even be one.
