I am certain that this has been discussed already (but remember, me and perhaps others, are new to the ME universe) in some manner or the other.  For me, driving the Hammerhead is like trying to operate a manual trans when you have no clue (if you can't find 'em, grind 'em).

Is there some easy way to drive this thing?  Can I trade it in?

Thanks -

Oh yeah, what is that red diamond shaped thing that floats across the screen (seemingly right to left)?  So far I have only seen it in the Overlord: Atlas Station assignment.

Update - I think that I figured out how to manuaver the Hammerhead (but I definitely burnt out the clutch....:()

You should do the Firewalker DLC first. It has a tutorial on using the Hammerhead. Too late now, I guess.

Firewalker DLC should be part of the Cerberus Network.
That red diamand shape is just showing you roughly the way to go.

The controls are simple. The left analog is your direction, the right analog is your camera.
One of the trigger buttons is shoot, and one of the other trigger buttons is a speed boost (unlimited).

One of the face buttons is jump (A on Xbox, not sure on PS3. It is the bottom-most face button). One of the face buttons will pick up stuff on the ground that you are able to pick up (Y on Xbox, not sure on PS3. it is the bottom-most face button). You have to hold the button to pick stuff up. These will be data packets in Overlord.

"Firewalker DLC should be part of the Cerberus Network"

Thanks RedCasaer,

The Cerberus Network????? What is that? Also, for those PS3'ers who might not know, here is the key map from Xbox to PS3 -

Xbox - PS3
Y = triangle
A = X
X = Square
B = Circle

Somebody PLEASE tell me that the Hammerhead is not in ME3. I am just not feeling this vehicle.

Btw, thanks Caradoc for the link. Will check it out in a bit.

The key to using the Hammerhead in Overlord is to retreat back into cover once you start taking damage. The vehicle repairs itself rather quickly. Once it stops making that noise that it is broken head back into battle until you need to retreat to repair again. The missiles are guided to some extent so you don't need to have that great an aim.
