Hey guys I tried searching this topic and couldn't find anything maybe someone can direct me, the question I have is
should I be buying armor and weapons from merchants or wait for drops. For example I used to play WOW and you wouldn't want to buy what merchants offered because they were always weaker then what dropped off enemies.

The merchants have a lot of the best gear.

All the truly prestigious items (cost > 30 gold) are at merchants, I think.

Merchants have the best candy.



Also, you will never be able to afford all of it, so spend wisely.

drops are very nice as well, but if you want the best it's the merchants (even though the best is not needed at all)

A lot of the best armours and weapons are from drops/side quests. But you do get a lot of good stuff from merchants - basically, the rule is that if it costs a lot, it's worth getting
