I'm sick of tired of saving the world anyways. Let me have some fun by blowing some chantries up.

It would fun to see how many " you failed, the world was destroyed, game over " he manages to get before he "wises up".
Maybe he doesn't ever wise up and trades in the game out of sheer frustration.
That would be worth a few laughs, lol.

NOTE : The charcoal required quantity is currently unknown. To be sure that you nail it take extra quantities of Sela Petrae and Drakestone and combine them with charcoal until you get it. I also recommend that you hide in The Grand Cathedral's basement so that, in case of a premature detonation, you still succeed in bringing forth your plan.
Good luck !

Why does everyone want to be an evil psycho? I can't bring myself to be that evil no matter how many times I play.
Violence against polygons offsets the possibility of real violence. Slaughter the polygons!
Some people are just tired of playing wholly good characters. We demand ethical dilemmas.

Yeah but making some hard decisions isn't the same thing as wanting to run around slaughtering everyone. I don't mind it in games where characters are respawning cardboard cutouts (fable) but in BW games I just can't do it.

People want to be evil or anti-heroes because it's fun and different.Nefla wrote...

Basically this.
And on topic, I would love to blow up some Chantries. Maybe pull a 'V for Vendetta' and get all the foks out first. Blowing up buildings would definitely send some kind of message.

I don't blame you.
I think Morrigan and Flemeth likely have their own goals, now that the veil has been torn in different areas across Thedas. My Hero of Ferelden already threw his lot in with Morrigan when he left Ferelden to join her (and their son) beyond the Eluvian (along with his Mabari Hound).
As for the OP's suggestion, I imagine my apostate Champion is picking up where Anders left off by becoming a leader to the mage rebellion, as Anders continually suggested for years (including before the final siege by the templar forces at the Gallows).
Frankly, I'm not sure a Dalish Inquisitor would be too invested on the Mage-Templar War, although I know that Merrill often sympathized with the mages during the narrative in Kirkwall.

Not enough of an impact. Sometimes change is what they need. Change sets them free. And nothing says change like blowing up a church.Vit246 wrote...
Can't you just quietly assassinate them?

I think some players see the Chantry of Andraste as an institution of oppression and slavery, given the plight of the elves and the subjugation of the mages. It's why some people have strong opinions about what Anders did, given what the Andrastian Chantry has done in the past, and what it does in present day Thedas. Of course, not everyone has the same views about the issue.
